Did the red temperature light always came on before you put the new cdi in ?

It always came on for a second and turns right off.

could the cdi cause it to bog down when you try to give it more throttle? in each gear i give it more throttle and it like backfires

Hey man mine is doing the same problem I replace the coil, stator motor now I’m bout to do the cdi & remove stator magneto cover to see what happen next any tips ??

I would check all of the safety switches. Could be a simple solution
