Sounds so much better! My bike had a HD Dyna pipe on it when I got it. It was backfiring just like yours. So I have been trial and error with the A/F mixture screw and so far, I have most of the backfiring stopped. I think the A/F is set very lean at the factory for emissions purposes. But you are right, some backpressure is a good thing not bad like most riders believe. They want a freeflowing exhaust and lots of noise. But they actually created problems and lose power not gain it. Have you adjusted the valves by yourself. I would love to see a how to video by you on doing it. Really enjoying your vlog Mantha. Subbed!
Lol my savage has always backfires bad. Sometimes it’s like a gunshot. I had a lady at the gas pumps jump out of her damn shoes once lol. My understanding is that it’s hard to kee a one jug from backfiring every now n the n.
Hey there, may i know if it is a factory muffler? Would really appreciate if you could link the baffle you are using cuz I am also having a loud backfire when engine braking or stopping... Thank you!
Hello, Samantha! Could you leave the link where to buy this piece? I live in Brazil and I'm not sure what we call it in Portuguese. I've been watching your videos and they have been helping me a lot with my 1998 savage. thanks
Hey Mantha I'm looking to buy my first bike and I have like 3 on my list honda rebel 300 yamaha v star 250 suzuki boulevard s40 Which one in your opinion is the best choice and why? I wanted yamaha but today I saw s40 at dealer showroom and i like that tank speedometer and how the bike look , but they asking 5700 for it and its way too much for my first bike with all fees and taxes it will probably be around 6800
I would say s40. That my biased but watch my video on "why you should learn on a Savage" it's light and low. It will do 90mpr. But it's controllable. How's your hands eye coordination and your balance?
Well I'm in se ga if you ever take a vacation. But do some research. Go sit on some bikes! If you have natural skill you might get board on anything less than a 400cc. Check out a650 v star or a Honda rebel 500. I love the s40. Plus if you go that route then you can watch more of my videos to figure her out lol.
I’m sorry but engine braking is just not it. That’s so bad on the engine. Brakes are a lot cheaper than a new engine. Not hating btw. Channel is clutch.
