I am more than geared up and ready to view Suzume once it releases into American theaters. I've heard so much about it since it first appeared as a teaser back in April 2022. The few early reviews from audiences who've already seen it in Japan had me convinced to go see it. So it must be that good. It's because of Suzume that it inspired me to assemble a new AMV revolving around many of Shinkai's projects being in the same universe. While many know mostly of Hayao Miyazaki's anime films, I think Makoto Shinkai already earned more than enough recognition to be an anime filmmaker in his own right right alongside say, Mamoru Hosoda.
