Interesting vlog. Just got a Berlingo van myself, which just great. I have an Amdro sleeping unit which works and helps with minimal work for trips out but not good for longer trips away, something a little more cozy like your conversion would be great. A couple of things you showed that in intrested in was the power control unit and water pump for the tap. Can you tell us what type of units you got it and how much they cost. Also, I've just subscribed.
Hi, power unit is a generic thing from Amazon. Water system is this: clearcutconversions.co.uk/product/water-installation-kit-comet-london-tap-2-x-12l-water-container/ Thanks for subscribing!
Great transformation, just on your sleeping kit, maybe look a down sleeping bag or quilt, they compress really small and not take up much space. But overall well done, enjoy using it
Looks really neat and tidy. One thing we did with our kangoo was extend the over cab shelf and then have a vinyl curtain hang just behind it so that when we are in stealth mode, the seats are still visible with the dark curtain behind like a bulkhead wall, Then we sleep on the diagonal. At camp sites we sleep full length with seats folded forwards.
Great video Mark. Good music too. I hope there are some vlogs coming. You need to link your music in the description. Copyright thieves and fraudulent claimants will not watch to the end like I did.
Beyond adorable and awesome 👌 use of minimal space. I would replace one of those bins under the bed with a cassette toilet, but other than that.....I could move right in!
Love it! Thanks for sharing as I’ve watched so many Caddy conversions but yours will be the one I use to base my conversion on! your living ideas are great too. I was going to buy one already converted but realise I can get a lot newer less mileage vehicle by getting a van and going from there.
Nice van Mark. Can I ask how you fixed the timber to the walls. We. Any buy the wall Panelling here in Australia for a reasonable price. So wondering whether they were critical.
Hi Mark, the board thats full length across the bulkhead. Is that hard up against the lip on the floor? Also what height is it all built to? Many thanks
I have been trying to come up with ideas for the bulkhead curtain, can we have a more in depth look and possibly a link to what you used for the rail. Thanks
IR Vision Prints hi, the van is in the garage having some work done at the moment. I’m planning a follow-up video as soon as it gets back and will talk about the rail. It was this stuff... www.diy.com/departments/mk-white-16mm-oval-trunking-length-l-2m-pack-of-1/279456_BQ.prd
Mark Williamson that’s great, thank you! It’s the first I’ve seen doing it this way using the over cab storage to hold the rail and it’s a great idea. Definitely going to be going this route. Top job!
Mark Williamson yeah I was trying to see how you attached the clips to hold it in place but couldn’t quite make it out. A closer look would be great, thanks, I appreciate it
thanks so much for the video, Im about to basically do this exacty build with a caddy and its great insight. Is this the LWB version or the MWB version ? what dimensions are your bed ?. whats the road noise like?, considering doing mine with some nico 80 too
I definitely need thicker foam. That’s a lesson learned. Fine for sleeping on, sitting does require extra cushions. However, it is a compromise between comfort and headroom in such a small van.
Very cool conversion! What size 'mattress' would you guess the bed is equivalent too? Wondering if you could fit two rather slim people comfortably in a caddy, thanks!
I was thinking the same thing. I would like to like park anywhere and nobody knows you're sleeping there. I was thinking about putting like a rubbery material stretched with hooks or someting to make it look a much as a natural wall but easily taken of. I don't know yet.
@@spaceshipmark Many thanks Mark will look forward to the next video, also can you include information re the water containers and type of pump you used please.
@@spaceshipmark I need to cut at least two feet off my height so i am trying to figure out if i take if off my head or just chop both of my feet off :)
Really nice van! Simple, yet clean finish. I also really liked the solution for the short caddy with the bed extension and curtains, thinking of getting one in future. Can i ask how long the bed is with the extensions?
