The Balkans and Scandinavia are mutch the same it's just Scandinavian wasn't lorded over by foreign empires for hundreds of years so they got to take out all their anger on eachother before the modern era began.
I feel like the balkans actually hate each other, like for real, as in, they might fight to the death on sight. Scandinavians don't really hate each other. This is more like brotherly rivalry.
Don't forget that the swedish gov' refused the Norweigan royals entry into sweden during ww2. Same gov' that allowed the austrian painter enjoyers to send men and material through sweden allow them to turn a losing asssult on Norway into a full blown occupation.
@@ShermanistDruid Norway would have fallen either way, Sweden just like Norway allowed Germans to enter Sweden to go to Finland to fight the Soviets just like how the other scandic nations sent volunteers to Finland and he went to exile to Britain as that was easier than going to Sweden
@@cerkurkafelst7335 Unless one party is in a position of trust. A person and their adult caretaker can for example not have sex unless they are both adults. Don’t know where I got 17 from, though
This song is satirical for those who don't understand, we three Scandic nations have a brotherly hate towards another but we're actually good friends and comes along with each other well
Norway and Finland might pretend to hate Sweden, but remember this loud and clearly. They will never, NEVER, come anywhere close to despising Sweden as much as Denmark does.
@@user-zv9zc9bc2y look at the history of Scandinavia. Sweden and Denmark have fought over 20 wars since the 1400s. Sweden used to "own" both Norway and Finland. All the Scandinavian countries have fought wars against eachother, been part of treaties with eachother and even been part of the same country. They all share a lot of the same culture and most of the "hate" is all in good fun. Like play fighting between siblings. When it actually boils down to it I think all the scandinavian countries see the others as brothers, the fighting is just about who is the big brother (its sweden).
Ten kur baigiasi Vokietijos sienos... Ten pasibaigia šiaurės Europos kultūra.. Suomija, Švedija, Norvegija, Danija, Lenkija, Estija, Latvija, Lietuva ir Vokietija.
Probably because your country got destroyed and occupied by Sweden a million times, and even then, Denmark was allowed to keep Schleswig Holstein a few years more just because Sweden sent 30.000 militarily experiences soldiers

As a Swiss person, who feels deeply connected to the north, I walk up the mountain everyday, just so I can pretend to look at Scandinavia (sadly that also makes me see Germany) and think about its wonderfullness! I listen to the birds, the wind blowing and the alphorns singing their sweet songs in the distance while eating cheese and occasionally feeding the Capricorns with it. And then I remember how the Scandinavians are always fighting with each other. So I close my eyes and smile, feeling at peace.
I mean most words that are commonly used came from Proto-Germanic so it makes sense but as a fellow Brazilian you can see how some words blatantly got yoinked from Romance. If you spoke another Germanic language it'd be even more similar.
@@PersikovyBonapart Dude, we were given away to Sweden when Napoleon lost the war, since the Danes were allied with him. Look at the fortifications along our eastern border from the 1800's. We clearly saw them as a threat.
@@walangchahangyelingden8252 Our cultures and history are very different. There will never be a union but since we have similar concerns there might be an alliance in the future when NATO falls apart.
@@Willy_Tepes I do recognise that there are differences; But all 3 countries, a couple of more countries in the region have a shared history. And to an outsider like me, it's like figuring out the differences between Germany & Austria.
Ingen, please put Satirical in the title. Men jag måste säga att mobbingen går tvåväga - vi älskar våra lillebröder ;) Gratulerar med dagen, jag gillar hans dialekt vid 1:51 - "Tom Jooness", han satte det perfekt lmao!
In the Japanese black comedy novel "The World Sinks Except Japan" (yeah, the title says it all) by Tsutsui Yasutaka, people from Scandinavian countries fight each other to enter Japan. When I read that part, I was like "Why Scandinavians? I think they are coexisting in peace! There must be more suitable countries for this scene!" This song proved me that I was wrong😅
@@Luigi_Cadorna as an English speaker I can sort of understand it but at the same not really. How I would describe Norwegian is it is like English but mixed in a bowl with eggs with a few eggs missing but enough to get somewhat of a clue of what someone is saying yet more understandable than Swedish and Danish.
@@Luigi_Cadorna well I do happen to like the history of both Sweden and Norway. For example I like Gustavus Adolphus of Sweden who made Sweden a great power. That is what I think as an American. I did take into account that most Vikings were Norwegian so their version of Norse may have played a role in Norwegian being the easiest Scandinavian language for English speakers to learn.
@@sethfrisbie3957 Danish and Norwegian vikings took most of England at one point and influenced english to dsome degree. Swedish vikings traveled to russia and Konstantinople.
Oooh so turns out the melody of that particular variant of Sa rider jag meg (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hYA8iS8Fv6E.html) is used in the Swedish anthem
Yes, but in this video its use from the context of Swedens national anthem, as it uses that melody. Which you probably know, but hey, I learnt something new, didnt know where the melody was from originally.
Not entirely sure what happened with the translation at 0:20, as the translation says the exact opposite of what is being said. Jæklig is a synonym of jævlig, which can be directly translated to devilish, however is generally used as a negative connotation. In this context, what’s being said “Who do you think is the fucking worst of you and me?”, implying that Sweden is the worse one. Hope this helps, keep up the great content!
