Svord AmeriKiwi Skinning Knife 

Amazing tool. Highly capable and purpose driven. I love carbon steel, and it's easy to make it super sharp. The thin stock really improves the cutting geometry, but dont forget to keep it oiled. When used for its intended purpose, its gonna be exposed to lots of moisture, and it will rust up on you quickly. I think I'll make a custom sheath, but the knife itself is well worth the cost. Thanks for showing it.

I'm a New Zealander, and have the svord mini peasent knife, I love it. It's a no nonsense knife, cheap, reasonable edge retention, very easy to resharpen. I know there not everyone's cup of tea, but I reckon there a real character knife. The amerikiwi knife looks similar to the peasent knife.

Maintaining the convex without special equipment/skill is not very realistic, but you can just strop it like you did. Once it dulls, just sharpen at the usual 17-20 degrees with conventional methods and it will keep cutting for you like a champ. You said it. For 30 bucks, this is one of the highest value tools on the market.

I'm buying one, it'll be my first skinning knife. Can't wait to get my first deer.
