@@tide7107 Best way to explain it. Also one thing I find fun is that Fiddle is so Ancient that it is probably unaware of anything but the impulses that drive it. It is, per say, a force, not an actual entity, yet it holds the knowledge of every lesser demon, and reacts to that. Demons are so cool in Runaterra man
@@LordVanOskuro he's actually referenced after the time skip. In the beginning of arcane, Swain is still just a generic general for Noxus. After the time skip, the Medartas talk about how their brother/son died, based on what they say it happened during Swain's revolt, which happens not long after his loses his arm to Irelia and binds to Raum. So he may have a part to play in season 2, but I doubt he's had anything to do with Piltover/Zaun yet.
@@garuda4867it is said that after the story of jinx and vi is over they will follow other regions and such and with the katarina comic and noxus being one of the most popular regions I dont doubt its gonna be the next region
Swain understands that he won’t live forever. But that was never his goal. He just needs enough time to reform Noxus. You can tell in his line “Every day I rule, Noxus becomes a more perfect expression of my will.” The fact that it’s a will means he doesn’t care that he will die, so long as Noxus will continue to rise.
Irelia is such a garbage champ, a teenager with no prior training suddenly becomes a super mega hyper warrior and kills everything and everyone and manages to cut off the hand of a guy? Aren't the Noxus knights supposed to be the best and almost unbeatable thanks to their black iron? What is this lore bro, that's just a no u and a Mary sue
@@FarnesV Yeah Noxus loses a lot despite them being sold as this ''great warrior empire'' so I kinda want them to win a bit more. At least Irelia got a little update in that her dance moves she trained during her childhood were actually an ancient art of dancing blades, but yeah her being 14 with no battle experience and beating a general is pretty BS
@@helloneighbour2408My RU-vid is fried and I didn't get the reply, anyway. Yeah, that's not going to cut it though. Swain was a cripple back then but he was still surrounded by soldiers at the placidium and Irelia (14) just showed up and begun to massacre soldiers, I get it that riot doesn't want to ruin the champion fantasy by making Irelia weak in lore but that's just cheap. And yeah, riot doesn't want to do any changes to runeterra if it isn't an event like the Noxus Ionia event that gave us Ionian Boots, such a shame
Lux: Demacia and Noxus are just lines on a map. Swain: Aw, such a compelling argument. Your choice of words have moved me to tears, and I now see the error of my ways. Lux: Really? Swain: No.
I like how swain casually just easter egg Belveth like that saying "a pattern, spreading it has learned to be alive". He already knew of Bel'veth's existence waaaaaaay in advance. Such a brilliant tactician.
not so much her , but he did understand the flaw of the void : it learn and evolve in the image of a life it swore to destroy in other world , she was unavoidable (tadumm tss)
With the infighting going on between the Void, imagine if they reworked Cho' Gath and gave him lore making him more than just a void creature, but a sort of sibling opposite of Aurelion Sol, with Aurelion Sol being endless creation and Cho' Gath being endless destruction.
@@vang-toulee8351 Now imagine if a demon like Tahm Kench became more than just a negative reflection of some human aspect(s). Imagine if he suddenly had his own goals or "cravings" for something more grand.
Always thrilled that Riot finally made Swain clearly ‘appreciate’ LeBlanc’s attention. If you knew their lore from before his rework, it was heavily hinted that LeBlanc was helping Swain cos she personally liked him and the rest of the Black Rose warned her not to, and during the Sion rework event, it was hinted Swain had been giving her the cold shoulder after she did a ton of things to help him become the new ruler of Noxus. With the rework, it’s pretty clear that Swain is very personally interested in LeBlanc and that makes me happy 😂
it IS their problem. that's the whole deal of the ult preventing things from dying before their time. if it wasnt a problem, wolf would have killed swain already.
@@lokir.4974 that is not quite the case. Kindred simply abide by their own unwritten rules that souls are not for Wolf's taking before the fated time. in the short story A Good Death, Wolf asked Lamb if he could devour "the Maga thing" as he spoke of the young actress in the story. Lamb calmly refused, because her final hour had yet to arrive
It is a problem lol - Mordekaiser waits on the threshold for a chance to rise again, and bring the whole world under his heel. Leblanc cannot stop him, she's failed before, and she's resorting to turning children into weapons against Mordekaiser - Ancient Warrior King, Supreme Spellcaster, and Skilled Torturer. I don't think some teenage girl will be much of a threat to Mordekaiser (I'd be very mad if she was). While It goes without saying that Leblanc has plans within plans and contingencies and backups, but she's failed to stop Mordekaiser before.
Really great video but for the lor quotes you missed a few for Irelia when swain dies in lor. She says ‘leave the corpse to his birds’ and ‘a meager penance’
Swain gives me goosebumps. I love everything about him, everything they done with him. I think he's the reason I felt in love with League of legends lore. My main and my favorite since rework.
@@youtubecensorship842 Ksante calls swain a colonizer because noxus is expanding into shurima and annexing shuriman tribes, nothing to do with irl stuff.
swain is EASILY the 2nd best/RIVALING #1 lore champion in the game. aatrox's lore is the only one that beats it all. the Garen Line "ignorant of the very magic you carry into battle, how demacian" is golden for explaing how hypocrital the anti magic rules of demacia really is
a single counter argument : the terrifiying implication of jhin very existence in a world of gods, world ending magic and unknow abberation the biggest threat to manking is itself
So how powerful are Darkins when compared to Demons and Ascended. I know they were Ascended of atleast something like that? But I never really understood how powerful the Darkin were compared to everything else besides Aatrox being 22 feet tall in lore and leading an entire Darkin army.
@@IMBAITThey are probable a bit under Celestial level and some of them are probably way higher (Aatrox killing the Celestial or War, Xolaani taking over and fuse with Kayle's mother Aka Celestial of Justice, Horazi who have stole Space power from Targon, Taarosh who was about to kill Xolaani in the past) They were once the most powerful Ascended who got corrupted by void (but still won their War against) and then got betray by Celestial
@@IMBAIT Demons of runeterra are FAAAAR above Their level, at least back in their prime, demons, and most notably Fiddlesticks, are ancient, and i mean ANCIENT creatures, Fiddlesticks being the first scream of creation, he is Fear, true primal fear, Raum over here (Swain's demon) is a demon of secrets, Tahm kench is a demon of desire and greed, Evelyn is the demon of pain and despair and lastly, Nocturne, demon of nightmares all of them scale differently in Present times, but Fiddle sticks by far is still the most powerful
I dont get the voiceline with darius where he said "No daughters, only Soldier" can someone explain? As far as i remember correctly Darius never had a Daughter he had a Son or does he refer to something else?
He had a daughter. Its in the comic. The young lady that killed his former-lover? Yeah, that's his kid. And she took out her mother for the good of Noxus. He also had a son, that died in war. The entire thing is a "I am become Death, Destroyer of Worlds" sort of reference. Do you obey the higher calling, or do your protect your family?
When Sion was alive, Boram Darkwill (King of Noxus before Swain murders him to become the leader of Noxus) and Sion used to be friends. Darkwill said “Beware of Ravens” which was hinting at Swain’s pact with Raum. Raum’s takes the form of Ravens (they’re basically Tzeentch of Runeterra)
funny that his interaction with Kindred shows a veiled attempt at barganing for his life. but once the Kindred come for him, his only choice will be just how he wants to die, really. they couldn't care less about who rules what in Runeterra. there is only duty, and eachother, in the end
This man is litterally preventing mordecaiser from roaming the world of the living and considering he made himself the king of the dead it is accually a resonable argument to not kill swain. I mean mordecaiser is already dead so there is not really much anyone can do to stop him from destroying the entire world after he is out.
Fiddlesticks(Fear),Raum(Secrets),Evelynn(Bliss),Tahm Kench(Obsession),Nocturne(Nightmares) and maybe Shaco(Delirium) could all be primordial demons or are "born" from them
@@Geo-co9pd those are his creations i think . But it wouldnt surprise me that there would be a race of celestial dragons . the same wa there is a race of watchers who seem to be on a similar level to A sol in power as he is ver war of what the void hides and so far the watchers are the strongest in that realm.
