Real black mold can cause changes in behavior and I've delt with it before. Caused anxiety, depression, and mild hallucinations. Made me so ill i would cough up blood. That's why this is so terrifying. It's not entirely impossible or out of the blue.
true! it can also have permanent health effects. my dad got asthma from it, someone else i know get spontaneous allergic reactions (that are also inconsistent. for example, one day they can eat apples, the other they get rashes from it, the next again? it's fine). some report what you mentioned. many become severely allergic to mold (even those that aren't dangerous, like the ones you have on cheese). it's scary how dangerous it is, yet nobody seems to mention it all that much
We had black mold when I lived w my biological father and we had to completely tear out the insulation inside the wall and yk most of the wall so it wouldn't spread anymore, I remember when that happened I got pretty paranoid and definitely a lot more anxious 0_0
To all that dont know, Swamp Fever is an actual canon thing in the MLP world. We had an entire Episode about it. When you get it, you will slowly...and painfully turn into a tree. You will die. The entire episode was about finding a cure (what Fluttershy actually succeeded in). So honestly, this isnt just some fanfiction, its almost canon. They also had a picture book in the episode about the different stages of the pony hardening and slowly turning to a damn tree.
my mlp knowledge of this tells me that Fluttershy and Zecora may be immune cause they had a variant of swamp flu /fever and survived and know a cure but something tells me the the zap honey won't work on this variant/mutation
Oh, interesting theory! In that case, this must be a mutated version of the swamp fever, called the "parasitic swamp fever" - a much more severe, dangerous and painful version of the swamp fever. The regular swamp fever spreads through a lilypad's pollen alone, whereas the parasitic swamp fever spreads through the pollen from a lilypad that has an oaklin parasite living inside. Adult oaklin parasites ( _Dolor folia_ ) probably lay eggs on flowers like lilypads and the baby oaklin parasites, which are microscopic, converting the flowers' nectar and pollen into food while also pollinating the flowers. They then wait for a host to grow in.
I think it's a shame you didn't touch upon tree branches growing right from the infected's skin. You could see that on Zecora in the episode. It was one of the creepiest aspects of this disease for me. Hopefully if you do make another part, you'll cover it, too!
I looked up the latin words in the vid in case anyone wants them, I can't belive im getting back into MLP horror again after 8 years lmao. Dolor Folia - Pain Leaves Rufus Plaga - Red Plague
for me, the better AU ones are the ones that stick to the pony language conventions (everypony, trotting, at MOST pseudocurse words like "what the flank") AU's feel less real to me when they break these 'taboos', they feel more grounded in "human reality" and hence less real
When thinking about how the stage 3-4 can speak and manipulate, it reminds me of the Harran Virus from Dying Light. The virals often plead for help or beg for mercy when attacked, then they go back to their feral nature. Maybe the parasite lets the pony take control for a moment to manipulate others, then it takes the control back.
This actually does a good job seeming realistic. Doesnt overplay with gorey words, doesnt overexplain what can assumably be information we’re already supposed to know, simple yet disturbing graphics. Perfect.
"you might need to look at more extreme measures of cleaning" *shows a burning house* i know it's supposed to be scary and all but that got me rolling 💀
Ayyyyy, glad to see the mlp horror community is still around! :D God I hope this traumatizes countless others the same way that Cupcakes and Smile traumatized me :DDD
When I was 8, I never watched any of those but I loved watching the gore speedpaints, they never really scared me for some reason lol. Might need to check those out tho! I'm not a brony, but bronies and anyone who likes mlp is really cool imo!
The ending, honestly, would be the only solution. If I was suffering something similar to rabies, I'm sorry but put me out of my misery. I'll end up there anyway if I just kept living with that virus.
When I watched episode 18 of season 7 I was like that’s the most analog horror you could introduce, genius idea. It’s not even fake mlp horror, this actually happened in their universe
Imagine if the narrator started uncontrollably laughing mid-sentence and their tones mix up a little. It just gets progressively worse throughout the tape and started off normally.
@@Violety42 yeah but they laugh and stutter a whole lot on the daily, and even if they didn’t have red spots it would be a whole lot more difficult to tell if they were infected or not
2:16 "You may have to clean in more extreme measures" Me: ONE TWO THREE ONE TWO THREE DRINK, ONE TO THREE ONE TWO THREE DRINK, THROW EM BACK TIL THE LIGHT (gibberish) IIIIIIIIMMMMM GONNNA SWIIIIIINNNGGGGG ON TOP OF THE CHANDLERRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
It’s the fact that once the audio said to keep the infected blood away from ur ears mouth eyes and anywhere that’s cut it immediately reminded me of 28 days later
Fun fact: Swamp fever is actually a REAL fever in the original mlp universe, but of course, is not that dangerous and creepy because the show is for kids
The best part is that Swamp Fever is canon. It's a bit different from this, though. In canon, it doesn't make ponies aggressive. Maybe it's a different variant?
I think he said "humid," not "human." I thought he said human when I first watched this, but after watching this a couple more times, I realized that he was talking about the texture of the swamp instead.
This reminds me of The Last Of US game in a sense as that was also a parasitic infection too and I subbed to u as well :) I wonder if Celestia and Luna will get involved and how Canterlot in general is dealing with this too :)
@@FurryHaterSpaceMarine the serious tone of the video vs the abrupt cut to a burning house while the voice suggests arson as an "extreme method of cleaning"
@@ariartsy9220 okay, thanks for letting me know. Though I am very curious to see where exactly the story for this goes, also was what we heard in the second audio log was a pony destroying an infected's head. But got infected themselves cause they got in contact with the infected's blood? Cause the announcer mentioned that you should keep infected blood from places like eyes, nose, mouth and even open wounds.
if the parasite needs warm environments, could keeping infected ponies in cold areas slow down or stop the infection while someplace cold? or at least long enough to keep infection rate down and find a permanent solution?
I think that Aslong as the host's body is warm it will grow so slowing it down means making the body temperature dangerously low which along with already battling a unwinnable disease and the Dieases from coldness is an easy way to die which would be a mercy
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CaDKQHdizvA.html My last attempt did not get posted. I can't find it in the comment section. It's another MLP horror, but it's an analog horror video.
This is impressive ngl but kinda disturbing , this is like that one episode but more intense I like it but it reminds me of like a very old add during the black plague , the screams make me sad (idc if I'm late this is interesting)
