New customers have bought this house and wanted to get this swamp cleaned up as soon as possible!
The smell is one of the worst I have dealt with in 13 years! It was pretty tough work but we got it all cleaned out.
There’s more work to be done though with the customer considering shallowing the pool and repainting it aswell. There’s also a new saftey cover going on too.

Next time you need to rake the floating surface algae to the shallow side while it pumps down so your not hauling it up when it’s empty!

Truly gold standard work you’ve put in! Swamps are already an uphill climb to clean. You managed to get the stains out of the walls 😱 And you even cleaned the surrounding tiles! Thank you and the owners for sharing the swamp clean up. Job well done 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

why not grab a stable fork (or scoop) and start cleaning the junk that's floating while pumping out? wouldn't it lessen the work load to empty out? love the channel!

A deep pool is a safe pool as there is no chance of striking your head on the bottom. Also, he will end up with a load of problems in the future trying to make it shallower. Leave it be and he will be thankful he has such a great pool.

Why more shallow?? Deep pool is a dream. Got kids make it safe and put a fence followed by swimming lessons.

I agree 100%. I live in Western Washington State (USA) where there’s rivers, streams, lakes galore (not to mention Pacific Ocean). I knew the day I moved here my two daughters would not only be taking advanced swim lessons, but they also wanted to be on the year-round competitive swim team. I believe when you live in an area like this with SO much water, it’s almost negligent to not make 100% certain your children can swim.

Have you ever thought of partnering up with other youtubers that do pressure washer cleanings?? It's be pretty cool to see a collab when you've got these kinds of pools. They could get the patio cleaned up while you drain the swamp and then work together on scooping out sludge and pressure washing.

My grandfather had built an inground pool in the 50's out of concrete and painted, shaped like an egg. We have home movies from the era it was a place family and friends would be. As a kid (I'm now 59) in the early 70's, it became outdated and unused. I remember the only water in it was in the deep end, green/brown. Every year were frog eggs and frogs, dragon flies, weeds growing. We use to ride our bikes and skatbouds in it. My grandfather past away, my older brother and wife now own the property now. T

They referbished the pool, used it several years. Tore it out in the late 80s and put in a new one. Bigger and better. But the memories are priceless.

Whatever brand of pump you use it is definitely the unsung hero. I have spent a bit of time doing work similar to this and sewage and I love Little Giants. I have a half horse semi trash trash that will do 90 a minute right now. I used to have a 6 and an 8 cim that were good for about 50.

I know I'm late, but I hope you recommended they don't reduce the depth, teach kids in the shallow end and when they're confident they'll love the deep end and it makes them better swimmers. and people can dive into the pool safely when it's that deep.

I'm no pool expert so I am curious as to why people don't drain the pools when they know the pools aren't going to be used and put on a cover instead of letting them get like this?

One of the first things they tell you when you get a pool is to avoid having it sit empty for longer periods of time because the walls could cave in. I could also imagine a few reasons why people would just let their pools slide, e.g. loss of health so they can no longer care for the pool themselves but lack the funds to pay others to do it. One of the worst pools I've ever seen was way back in the late 80s, one of those cheap round above-ground pools with metal frame. The pump failed pretty quickly and no one bothered to drain the pool, so it turned into a proper swamp over the course of a few seasons. Then the metal frame started to collapse and about half the water leaked out, the owners still couldn't be bothered to do anything about it. Hardly surprising considering the state of the rest of the place actually. Showers that sprayed water everywhere, not just out of the head, three-legged electric heaters that plunged half the house into darkness when they fell over, etc..

It’s summer here in New Zealand and this year I decided to buy a best way above ground pool…….for the life of me I can’t keep the water clear no matter how many times I use the testing strips and chemicals……I’m currently draining it and wondering if I should even bother filling it back up………anyway……….your videos make me happy 😊

Never understood people why they let a pool get so bad. But yet they are willing to spend thousands of dollars on getting it cleaned up. Would have been cheaper to keep it running. But whatever it takes to keep the boys working and making videos for us

Good video but a tip for you, I really would look into wearable microphones or something, the sounds of the metal when opening the filter or the pressure washer on the edges came through fine, but it was entirely impossible to hear your voice unless I had my volume maxed and when it was maxed the music and other sounds were far too loud, audio balancing is often more important than the quality of the filming itself

I'm not a pool owner but how do you let your expensive pool get this bad? No judgement on the owners! Just hire a pool guy to service it before it gets to this state!
