I'm more afraid they're going to hurt themselves but I busted up laughing watching some of these jumps. I just can't believe these boats are so resilient.
Dude I honestly thought the thumbnail was just clickbait nonsense, THAT JUMP WAS AWESOME!!! I seriously need to come visit, kiwi's have way too much fun lol.
You guys really need to add a little head saver bar to your boats. The low hanging stuff could really ruin your fun! One of my dads old acquaintances almost beheaded himself when he drove through some wire fencing someone had discarded.
I am envious of you both then. I've never come across narrow, deep-water waterways in the States. Plenty of shallow ones with either mud bottoms or loose shale to to suck up into the intake though!
Great video!. That first jump was gnarly!. He damn near subbed it on reentry. Did he wrinkle the starboard side aft gunwale area jumping it like that? I thought I might have seen something in the video. ..but hot damn! That looks like fun.
Is it wrong to have hoped the wake from the speeding boat at 0:27 would propel one of those floating branches through the side (and maybe the leg of someone in) the POV boat?
Hi could you give me a tip, what do you use to protect the hull or bottom of the jet boat, because I have a jet ski and where I sail here there are many stones I wanted a tip to protect the hull of my jet ski, I'm from Brazil .
do these use an open loop cooling system ?? if so has anyone ever made a selective valve that would use the engines open loop cooling system to suck water out of the hull in instances were you get water in the boat. it would function as a bilge pump only when needed while adding minimum weight? I know its possible but curious of potential issues and functionality.
Dalton Michaels+ It would be easier just to run separate bilge system, whole system weighs about 12oz so it's lite, runs off 12volts produced by engine.
Dalton Michaels I think a simple auto bailer system would work on these. An auto bailer in essence uses the motion of the water coming out of the jet nozzle to "vacuum" the water in the hull out through a tube. The system has a check valve so water will not backflow into the hull. Simple, requires no wiring. thumbs4.ebaystatic.com/d/l225/m/msDtC8e64lErzw9K2eyMOnw.jpg
thanks guys , i was mostly curious because i watched another video of one of these ( or similar one i dont know the brand or set up) sink when it turned 90 degrees to the river flow and water was coming over a rock and into the boat. this was a very particular situation and not likely to repeat but still a real issue if no bilge pump is present. and then of coarse because of the remote lactation they had to have a helicopter air lift the boat from the bottom of the river.
allthings possible I do see how this could be really fun, Hell I have a big bass boat (bullet) with a big motor but these small creeks and rivers can't take this abuse like a damed up river or large lakes. Eventually places like this will be no more because of folks like this.
beechkingd believe he's saying it should be a no wake zone. so what if it floods, yes fish survive it but it doesn't always help and I'm sure some fish or animals don't survive a flood so why do more damage with boats. it doesn't flood every weekend.
Wait a minute they have ear phones but they are wearing no helmets with all that crap they have in that river including another boat horsing around. Someone is going to lose their head very quickly with they.way they are driving. Please get rid of that music, that gave me a major headache.
lol I thought the picture title was photo shop awesome there like atvs on water HUGE THUMBS UP any links you might recommend and what the cost? your reply would be sincerely appreciated thanks
how much does one of these set you back as a kit? would love to go up and down the manawatu river lol start at the manawatu gorge and go all the way to foxton beach
