@@mdenisen Pff. Respond when you've lived in Florida for 54 years and know middle and north Florida like I do then we can talk. The water is not as clear at it used to be and defeinately not as many fish. Love when people speak and don;t know what they're talking about. Probably a yankee aren't you.
@@timsmick4170 This from a recent 2023 article from the Citrus County Chronicle. Next time know what you;re talking about. The Rainbow River was designated an Outstanding Florida Waterway (OFW) in 1987. This was years before the current sad state of this environmentally endangered body of water, a river choked with invasive vegetation and algae that put a stranglehold on eelgrass and other native species helping to maintain the river’s purity. Arguably, that OFW designation might not have been considered for the river in 2023 since specific criteria are used to designate bodies of water. These criteria include exceptional water quality that not only exceeds state standards but has excellent clarity and low levels of pollutants. Unfortunately, the Rainbow River has been bombarded with contaminants that have impacted this formerly pristine river.
@@KHtally why does it have to be a Yankee? I've been in Florida longer than 54 years and I was born on Long Island, you do have issues that's for sure.
