The portals featured in Murder On The Dancefloor are from older maps (All The Stars, Yo Le Llego, Fancy and You Make Me Feel) and the backgrounds merging with the Spacetime Observatory was so cool to see on my initital reaction! I'm a bit confused on when this map takes place, but the map is so awesome! I was also one of those people that saw Darkest Hour over a year ago so I knew what to expect, but I'm happy to see it is free from beta jail!

So this is how she got her minions to... *Serve* 👁️👄👁️💅

One of the the reason the song (sweet dreams) was changed in my opinion (other than copyright & leakers), is probably because it would make the lore darker/deeper: -The idea- If I watch the old leak, The night Swan stated that sweet dreams are made of these. Probably referring to Love (past relationship with the traveler) or Power (ability to travel the danceverse with her given power). "Some of them want to abuse you, some of them want to be abuse" is also the lyrics in sweet dreams. Probably referring to her telling the dancer that she was used by the traveler and then being abandoned by him? While the "some of them want to be abuse" probably referring to someone/something that actually want to be abused by the Night swan itself. (Upcoming new characters in the lore?) or probably referring to her hobby (ballet) which as we know have dark behind the scene in the real world, but she still decides to joined Ballet despite the consequences (not all instructor/ballet is abusive) "Keep your head up, moving on" At this part of the choreo, we can see that her imaginary self dancing ballet gracefully during the "keep your head up", probably her inside telling herself to actually continue ballet while she trying to gaslight herself telling that she actually moved on from her hobby/dreams. But we can see that she actually wants to pursue her dreams because we see that she doing the same movement as her imaginary self (her hand pose seems to reject the idea, you can check the choreo at this part of the song to see what I mean by that) In the end we see that her self doubt still haunt herself. We can also concludes that she choose the night swan personality because she still can't move on from her true self and dreams to become a ballerina. I mean, she can choose to wear different styles or choose anothee type or choreo. But she chooses ballet in the end because its actually what she wants in the first place. (She's in denial) Who knows? Probably the night swan isn't the real villain all this time, maybe its THE TRAVELLER itself is the villain?

Basically Night Swan also came from the real world as a good person whom The Traveller had first met. They danced all their heart out together on the dance floor, taught Night Swan how to be a good dancer, and made love on the dance floor, and made a promise that they will be there for each other no matter what and a bright future will be ahead for them (end of the routine). Until The Traveller met the Levitating coach (Siha Nova), which is the parents of Wanderlust, that made Night Swan felt heartbroken and envious.. If we were to continue her lore in The Darkest Hour, there she showed how good she was at the beginning and felt that she was taken advantage and her dreams and efforts of being a true dancer was killed all because of The Traveller’s betrayal and cheating on her. And it is possible that she also killed The Traveller and Levitating coach out of her rage. And when she learned that The Traveller and Si’ha Nova bear a son (Wanderlust), she plotted revenge by using the danceverses to capture Wanderlust and take her revenge on him. In that way, she could rule the whole Just Dance-verse. 🤯 WOW IM SERIOUSLY BLOWN AWAY BY HOW EVERYTHING IS CONNECTED 🤯🙈 PS: So it is also possible and can be implied that Leda and The Traveller also bear a son (which is Jack Rose) and The Traveller left Leda at some point and cheated Leda with Si’ha Nova which made her snapped and plotted revenge on him that also made her start on taking over the danceverses. 🤯 Now I fully understand how evil Leda (Night Swan) is. I mean, how could you not be envious just by how greatly you were betrayed and cheated on? Which might make you lead to revenge and take over the danceverse (not that I’m siding with Night Swan or anything LOL I’m just trying to understand her)

The darkest hour song was actually supposed to be sweet dreams are made of this but i guess they scrapped it last minute and made a new song enirely😭

from what they've shared on the just dance channel it's not a season but an event , special for just dance + users. thank you for posting the reaction, your reactions are always fun to watch the maps along too sirens are often associated with seduction that leads to doom/demise from what I know. I love the background for Darkest Hour, unfortunate they couldn't use the song it was meant for originally, but the Ubisoft original song is ok enough, I'm warming up to it. I'm loving Murder on the Dancefloor. Love the chemistry portrayed between the characters, they were so sweet. I wonder if The Traveler was a bit scared of Leda's destructive spiral into perfection and that's why they fell out.

This was original supposed to be Sweet Dreams (are made of this) but later changed for an unknown reason and it just triggers me that in the beginning she’s singing when she’s not even supposed to. Into Sweet dream also her lips were bright red, but now she doesn’t have them so that it looks like she’s not singing sweet dreams even though you can still tell she is.

in the Darkest hour you could see towards the end where the background head of hers started glitching. what if that was her becoming stuck in the danceuniverse? like im pretty sure in the song it said "gave up my dreams" what if that indicated her dreams outside of hte danceverse, meaning she gave up all of that to be with the traveler and maybe something happened and thats why she dragged Sara into the dance verse because the travelers kid, did it once but sara got to go back so as revenge in a way she pulled sara into the danceverse to get her stuck there. Afterall, sara is currently under the control of NightSwan

My problem with darkest hour is that it just feels really lazy especially because you can clearly see the coach still lip synching to sweet dreams

The Darkest Hour was made specifically for Night Swan, but this song replaced Sweet Dreams, which leaked 1 year ago. I kinda don't understand why they didn't make a cover of Sweet Dreams, cause this new song is kinda terrible and doesn't really fit the map.

Lore theory, hear me out... THE TRAVELER BECOMES CYGNUS ok, ok, it seems nuts, but just hear me out there's two things that've been bothering me about JD lore 1) Why the traveler and Siha Nova haven't come to the rescue if they're so powerful beings? 2) Why we don't know aniything about Cygnus when he's so obviously related to Night Swan? And one thing you said in this video got me thinking: The Traveler created Disco Ball for Wanderlust, so at the time he meets Leda, Wanderlust has already been born... so, what if something happened to Siha Nova at childbirth? what if she didn't survive? We've only seen Siha Nova preagnant, but never holding the baby, so... That would explain so many things for me: - why the traveler goes and meet and apparently falls in love with another woman? because he's not a playboy, he's a widowed father!!! - why don't we see Siha Nova ever again? kind of sad, she's not around anymore - why don't we see the Traveler ever again? oh, WE HAVE SEEN HIM, just haven't realized it yet. Have you ever notice how the Traveler and Cygnus both share the same hair color? what if Cygnus monocule is actually hiding the golden mark the traveler has on the same eye? and they both seem to have a liking for leather pants... Also, I remember hearing two things about Cygnus: 1) He's some kind of architect, and we can assume the traveler has built both the hotel and the observatory. I now noticed that the engines on Cygnus map and the machinery on the hotel and the observatory have a similar vibe 2) He feels guilty about helping Night Swan and has a lost female love interest... My money is on Siha Nova More things that support my theory: - Just dance wiki says that Cygnus impressed Night Swan by building the time-space clock tower... Let me say that again: TIME-SPACE clock tower... and what is the observatory called? Spacetime observatory Closing notes, meta-lore: - When I first saw Cygnus, he remind me of the mad hatter... and maybe the Traveler is mad now... mad out of grieve and mad about Leda's transformation - This being also a kids game I would think they would go for the unalived parent instead of a cheating one so, that's my theory, thanks for reading :D

For the people who are trashing Darkest Hour. That's what you get for always going to see the leaks and for always give free space for them to post leaks. it's okay to not like the new version. totally okay with that but saying that the leak was better is just proving my point. I hate when stuff is leaked. It just ruins the surprise for the season game, etc. without leaks everybody would be more appreciative of what they’re doing for us. Nobody understands how hard the team is trying to provide stuff for the game. They work about every day working on this game. #stoptheleakers It was a good thing that you mentioned it otherwise people probably wouldn’t be reporting it last year was horrible. I had leaks all over. It got so bad I contacted Ubisoft because it was so horrible. It ruined the entire game for me.

I think theres Mothigan butterflies in murder on the dance floor. Theres a gold-yellow butterfly flying over the screen and small yellow spots a few places Not gonna lie, I am not triggered often, but something about Greek Mythology concerns me. I hope just dance only took very very little inspiration from it or none at all. but why does everything need to be related to.. Idk cheating, getting kids etc? I do love that Leda chose to cope with the stuff by chopping her hair off

I have the same thought! The Traveler... damn, he's a womanizer!? No wonder why Leda went MAD and why the Just Dance Team says they're great friends. It is in the genetics, but I cannot believe that I figured it out with MURDER ON THE DANCEFLOOR!? We now have a good reason to figure out what makes Jack Rose and Wanderlust have in common ALONGSIDE Sara and Night Swan have in common. Look, I am a BIG Just Dance fan that has been playing for 10 YEARS! Just as big as my 6 ft 3, 6ft 4 height. I am a video gamer at heart with passion and I LOVE this LORE!!! I have Mild to Moderate Autism bye the way. I am really attached to things and a bit shy with the whole social thing... but I have learnt to be more confident overtime. Murder On The Dancefloor, I LOVE THIS SONG!? This is the most fitting song for Night Swan lore, and when I saw her face... it reminds me of Sophie Ellis-Bextor without the heavy makeup. Oh... I knew about Darkest Hour being Sweet Dreams. As a big video game fan, I am no stranger to datamined/leaked information and content. With technology and games these days, this is normal. Just Dance had unreleased content well before we had a Just Dance game on PC that no joke, people have modded it to death (Just Dance 2017). Just Dance 2 even had content that we as the community have somehow dugged up and showed full gameplays of what they used to look like. Even the Lady Gaga song in Just Dance 2014 was going to be in Just Dance 2. You can watch some videos of it on RU-vid. Datamining might seem like it should be frowned upon for some people that they should get the devs to do something about it, but look at other games like Fortnite. If you look at any socials of it, not only would you get to see content of people playing currently released content BUT also talk and show stuff that is datamined in the game files of Fortnite. Minecraft even has stuff that isn't released but acknowledges it perfectly by having people playtest and give feedback on. The game devs for games now-a-days are actually not bothered about their game files being datamined + they also put some easter eggs in there for those that are cheeky. The dataminers are really just regular people in the video gaming communities that are really experts at file sourcing aka datamining. When you actually think about what makes a video game fan, it is not just playing video games that you love... it is actually sharing your experiences and talking about them with others in the communities. Making content to get the attention can be as simple as finding something in a source file, talking about the video game's lore, making fan art, cosplaying as your favorite character, or even posts about your experiences or your favorite moments or even screenshots. If you don't wanna look at stuff that got datamined, that is totally fine. It is your call, but do indeed get use to it cause this will be more common moving forward. Even if the devs do give these leakers DMCA strikes, that action will still get repeated by others. Sometimes talking about unreleased content is actually good for the company and the developers since it is getting the game some attention. If you remove the datamining and the leakers from every video game, you basically get bored of the surprises and don't feel any hype from updates. Also, you wouldn't know any cool secrets. Some players do wanna become game developers and make their own games too. OK. Enough about my "DaveTalk". Darkest Hour is a bop! I would've prefer Sweet Dreams be covered, but licensing is a mess in the music and video gaming industry. My guess is probably the artist saying no. This is actually not the first time in Just Dance where we had a song with a map that was originally meant to be for a different song. If you remember Yameen Yasar from Just Dance 2021, that was originally going to be for the song Habibi Yaeni by Orgonite. Yameen Yasar is another Ubisoft original. One good thing I will say about Darkest Hour, I definitely will congrat the Just Dance Team for making an original song that worked as a replacement for Sweet Dreams. That has gotta be HARD to make and still sound good. It is just going to be weird to look at again without thinking of Sweet Dreams. Making fun of normal shippers who obviously didn’t know Ubisoft would pull such a stupid move to make them brothers is not nice :) The same goes for Sara and Wanderlust shippers, Sara is obviously a parallel to Night Swan, so maybe she's Wanderlust sister, or she's Jacks sister or they're all together siblings (as you can see, a plot twist like this is shitty and only roots from the stupid hatred Ubisoft has against it's shipper community) Traveler and Leda love affair is okay, it can be an interesting story plot point. But making two characters siblings with nothing that worked towards that revealation makes no sense and in this case is like I said a stupid pathetic ridiculous move by Ubisoft. It's not said yet so I hope they make the right decision and let the two just had a fling. They're dance was more romantic than the one of Traveler and Si’ha Nova I mean that's RIDICULOUS
