Thats my cousin on Cello! Look and listen to God's creation! Breathtaking, inspirational expression of Love and beauty! Wow! Support the Arts! Thank you guys so much, you are appreciated!🙏❤🙏❤🙏
The arms........oh the arms. The seated rond de jambe takes the air right out of my lungs. Then the ending, all of them together with the cellist.......words are failing to describe what they together convey.
We sure need more beauty in the world. That was such a joy to watch. I also appreciated the contributions of these great artists from around the world. That is when we are all at our best, when we work together.
This is simply beautiful! I am really lost for words - as a ballet student who's also in the class of 2020, I gotta say that this video has relieved me to a certain extent, especially after having to deal with the pain of canceled exams, events etc. 😪 All the ballerinas in this video danced so gracefully and I'm looking forward to seeing them on the big stage again!
The sheer beauty and fluency of the movements coupled with the intentional grace and subtleties of the cello are breathtaking. The movements fed me so much joy as I watched with my mouth wide open. Thank you all for such a beautiful collaboration. We are all better for having watched it. Bravo!!!!
I am almost speechless! I don’t think I have adequate words to say how amazing that was!!! They all danced so beautifully! The ballerina especially dancing on those cobblestones! 👀😳👀 ❤️❤️❤️
Beautiful. Beautiful. Beautiful. What a beautiful idea. I will watch this over and over again. It is also an incredible chance to learn new ballerinas. Thank you so much. I will also make a contribution.
Exquisitely done, and incredibly moving. I am so appreciative to all the dancers, musicians, and artists who have given of themselves during this difficult time. It's helped get me through, and I know I'm not alone in that. So many of us are in financial hardship right now, but if you can, please support the arts. They're so important, and we will need them as the world heals.
I can’t imagine the impact this virus has on all the art and entertainment companies. They devoted years and years of time for the artistry they are exhibiting now. Where should art go in this world? God please protect all the artists!!😢😢😢
Your God should start protecting the dying people from this virus, and then worry about protecting the artists' livelihoods after HE has done that. However, I'm sure HE will do HIS normal and do absolutely nothing. I think HE's just having fun with the gullible and the ones who get their priorities wrong.
Moved us to tears- thank you for your talent (including the cellist, of course❣️), artistry and sharing of beauty in ballet 🙏😘❤️ P.S. We have a passion for ballet and have supported by attending ballet performances worldwide for years!
WADE DAVIS- the cellist-Please release this on Apple Music!! I tried to download it, but it didn’t exist! This music is gorgeous and I need it in my life. So does the rest of the world!! Ladies, you were amazing too. This whole presentation brought me to tears. Is is such a gift to humanity. Thank you.
Was reading about Camille Saint Saens for homeschool the other day. He was such a giant in his time, but can you imagine his awe at what his work has inspired with this? You can never tell what heights your inspiration will lead others to...
WE must all do our part to preserve expression, dance, art and the beautiful mediums that are extensions of them all. WE have the extended responsibility of supporting the many gifted, skilled, passionate and aspiring dancers around the world. This uncertain time for all serves as an opportunity to enhance the world's understanding of, and appreciation for, all mediums of expression. Let our collaborative support ensure the things of beauty remain; so they may serve as uplifting representations of what we've overcome TOGETHER.
Oh dearest Fred. You are a ballet fan now. Promise me when this is over, you will go see a ballet - a real one, up close in a theater. If I were near you, I'd take you myself. We weren't fans until our child became a professional ballet dancer. I can't wait to hear your thoughts after you immerse yourself in a performance up close. Stay safe and well. xoxo
This is great!! What great video and idea. As a dancer my self I encourage everyone to take action and donate. I know I will. Thank you Misty Copeland and Joseph Phillips.
I love this piece. I used to perform this when I was dancing on stage ages ago. Now I dance alone in my home studio. Seeing all these professionals in home settings makes me sad in a way, I really miss seeing live ballets. Beautiful performance with beautiful music. Thank you!
This idea was taken from this group of talented musicians. Give credit where credit is due. m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hE1enPDh3nM.html
Outdstanding! I thought it was a Pablo Casals recording, then they showed the cellist at the end and I was stunned. Beautiful, just beautiful. Thank you everyone involved!
Stunning ...Absolutely beautiful ballerinas!! Thank you so, so much! And the cellist...thank for your exquisite playing. It made me cry..all of it was just lovely!
Very beautiful. Full of pathos. Fokine was genius. Mr Davis plays with greatness- not unlike fellow cellist Yo Yo Ma. TY SFR! PEACE AND HEALTH for all battling this pandemic.
Every time I see someone from the Mariinsky, I want to donate to the “Please-eat-something!” fund, too. I wonder if they understand that regardless of how talented they are, they are needlessly, skeletally thin. It’s distracting.
Had to watch Katherine Ochoa's arabesque penchee at least 5 times it was so good. I may have to go back a few more to satisfy myself that it is THE moment for me. Girl, that was GOOOD.
Thank you, thank you ... to each and every superb dancer and every single person involved in this outstanding project. You lifted me up out of darkness and brought light into my heart. It was much needed!!
Lovely just lovely to watch. I have been been carrying a lot of stress lately as have most people and realized half way through watching these beautiful dancers that my neck and shoulders were relaxed and my breathing was deep and calm. I have to remember the combo of ballet and cello works for me!
It’s beautifully edited - tho it is really missing a shot by Elena Kunikova, who is the ultimate slender swan and loves to give this arm combination for reverance. 💙
Exquisite and timeless. However, I'm giving my support to my own local ballerinas in the Pennsylvania Ballet -- who have done a perfect Swan Lake, and a new Swan Lake both of which I've loved for my 50 years attending their performances.
Does anyone have any information about the production details? As a man who's never seen a ballet in his life, but does have life long interest in Film and Cinematography and Photograhy, I'm just curious as to how they pulled off the shooting logistics & production. For example, while the Interiors suggest that these ballet dancers live in some remarkably spacious (and expensive!) homes and apartments, a few interiors were apparently ballet schools, which I would think would be closed, and while one or two were shot outdoors, there's not a hint of glare or lens flare. Shooting such impressive visuals is never easy and usually involves an experienced 'film crew, even a small one for these locked down shots. Also, the high resolution and perfect lighting would indicate that these women were shot with professional grade hi-res cameras by pro level videographers, yet I don't see how this was possible if everyone's under lockdown. Lastly, does anyone know if, I assume, each dancer danced to the music score playing throughout the entire piece, start to finish, and then the editor just selected a few seconds for each? It just seems like this would be an impossible-to-pull off feat with these women scattered throughout the globe to have been edited into one coherent piece. I can't judge the artistic merits but the production quality is certainly impressive given the obstacles the pandemic has caused. Many Thanks for anyone who might have some information or answers to the above. - DJ
One of the most beautiful recitals of Swan Lake I have seen. To see the fantastic variety of movement to this song -each dancer brings something special. Loved it. Cellist amazing as well. So moving!
