You can shield as long as you don't get War frenzy. Once you have war frenzy you can't shield.

Does anyone know of any kingdoms in season of conquest which have loads of f2p players and just generally loads of activity because in my kingdom its just a few pretentious whales showing off to each other and im sick and tired of it.
