Just bought it yesterday! One word: AMAZING!! It was worth the long hard saving and living cheap. I am the happiest man alive when I'm scoping in nature watching birds, the moon, stars and planes :D
@@grahammiller4985 thanks! Find the spotting scope set up here: www.swarovskioptik.com/at/en/birding/products/spotting-scopes/atx-stx-btx/atx-stx-btx-set/btx-spotting-scope-system/5380551-B2 It is the BTX module with the 85mm scope module.
@@grahammiller4985 also: for tripod video head i always prefer Manfrotto. Choose according to your favoured price range. But not the smallest one. They are very good. www.manfrotto.com/no-nb/produkter/videostativ/videohode/
Yes, you are correct about the 3d... Dont get them if you think its for 3d effect. It is not fake, as it was never designed to be 3d. The benfit is in the comfort of viewing. Not having to close one eye and view with the other like normal monocular telescopes.
As you're all talking Swarovski scopes I know I'm out of my league, but why not just digiscope with a mono ocular? It's probably just me however it seems a lot of money just for a bino ocular. It definitely looks good though, and if they gave me one I'd take it no complaints.
Isn’t it that you lose half the brightness to each eye? It seems this would be 1/sqrt(2) loss of aperture in terms of brightness while retaining full benefit of the enhanced resolution. This means higher useful magnification is possible but general performance will be comparable to binoculars with 70% the aperature.
