SWAT Commander plays SWAT 4 Food Wall Restaurant 

A tip, if you want one of your SWAT officers to restrain someone, make sure your crosshair is on them and press space as the game will automatically change to the option "Restrain". EDIT: I would also like to improvise this comment with more tips that could help in SWAT 4. -First one being on how suspects react when being yelled at, if you come from behind and yell there's like a 80% chance that he will quickly surrender not giving any resistance. Second one is when you have made contact with them, sometimes they will "fake surrender" which means he acts as if he was dropping the gun but instead he either shoots you or flees from the scene. (You can quickly identify it by how slow it takes the suspect to drop his gun down.) -If you want to disarm or slow down a suspect, for disarming if he does the "fake surrender" technique you can shoot his hand, causing him to drop the gun. And for slowing down, shooting his leg would do, sometimes they do limp (or a dropping on his knee animation) or just run away perfectly like they never took damage. -It's very important to choose what bullets you would be using for the mission. Sometimes in missions, suspects have body armor and it's required to have FMJ bullets in order to penetrate the armor. JHP is more suitable for unarmored targets. -Having atleast 2 SWAT officers carrying an optiwand is quite live saving if you are going with only grenades and such, as if one of them is incapacitated you still have another guy. It's quite crucial to use if you suspect a room that has suspects and hostages inside. -Sometimes the AI in this game have a VERY FAST reaction, the moment you walked in the room you would quickly get killed. Sometimes when a door is opened they would suppress fire the door ( I don't know what's their reason for doing that, maybe it's paranoia from cops? xD) -Another thing is, is it more better to use automatic or semi? I would recommend using Semi as you don't run out of ammo that quickly rather with the automatic, powerful rifles such as the Colt M4A1 or G36 with FMJ bullets can 1 shot or 2 shots suspects with armor. But if it's with unarmored suspects, it's better to use the silenced H&K MP5A4 as it's easy to use and it's really great in combat aswell. -Don't forget to report everything that happens, literally EVERYTHING. From officers down and suspects killed/injured to civilians secured, civilians who suffered injuries and suspects in custody. (pressing the button F to report to TOC which stands for Tactical Operations Command.) Don't forget about picking up suspect's weapons too. -You can customize your loadout and your team's. -You can change your character's speed by pressing SHIFT, by walking it improves accuracy. -You can press the button Z for zooming in, having a better visual of suspects/hostages. -You can press Q or E to lean to check corners, definitely recommend it as it does not expose your whole body. -There are chances that the officer that you ordered to optiwand a room will say "it's clear" but actually it may not, as suspects can hide behind shelves or any cover that are completely invisible to your SWAT AI's detectness.. I'd highly recommend to check the room one more time by yourself. -There is a possibility where a suspect has seen you, he will run to the hostage and aim at him/her. Threatening you to not come any closer him otherwise he will shoot the hostage in the head. The best counter for this is basically to aim at his head as it will automatically kill him. -Anyway, don't really rely on your teammates to throw grenades for you since they throw like grannies. It may be best for them at close quarter but I recommend throwing a flashbang or any grenade much farther away from where your team throwed. That's all the useful tips I have gathered from playing SWAT 4 for about 3 years, hope it helps you out!

one of my best friends in high school's dad was a SWAT captain in Orange County, CA and I remember showing him this game when it came out and he said it was pretty realistic. granted the graphics are pretty outdated now, but he said that they nailed all the radio chatter and all the formalistic procedural things like reporting stats and also the fact that most shootouts last a few seconds if that, as opposed to the endless firefight of COD type shooters. one thing in particular was how the team moves as one unit, but with individual roles still preset. its almost like each team member is a link in the overall team "chain". one thing they got wrong however, was that most SWAT teams (good ones anyway) never yell GO GO GO! because GO! sounds like NO! so they would say Execute. Execute. Execute.

You have door wedges that you can use to jam doors so you can prevent suspects from flanking you while you're checking someplace else. I've always wanted to know if real life swat really use door wedges or not.

The team dynamics remind me of that SWAT fail video where the ram guy falls off the porch and the dude in the Humvee does nothing.

the first misthrow of the flashbang was funny but the second made me crack up hard! The AI is always smth to surprise you xDDDD

You forgot too use the ''Wand'' aka the optiwand thats thing is CRUCIAL!!! press 9 too bring it out. it allows you too see the layout off the room see where civillians and suspects are at its super duper effective. Another pro tip if a suspect is in a position where he or she is looking at the door normal open, bang and clear might be dangerous since he/she can immediatly shoot the door and injure your officers what you should do is breach it with C2 then use flashbang where upon explosion it will falter the suspect while also scaring the sh*t out of them making it more likely for them too surrender. Try too do everything yourself if you can this game came out wayy back in very early 2000s so AI is outdated and slow. you're super duper ultimate SWAT Commander reflexes and thinking. Also as you saw AI teammates arms are made out of jelly they can throw granades only 2 meters while your character being the badass that he is, can throw it too the fricking moon if you hold left click long enough.

Nice job! Don't know if you noticed, but you can customize your equipment, as well as choose your entry point if there are multiple options. I used to try every mission at least once after completing it giving all officers only less-lethal equipment and try to get the highest score (if everyone is uninjured, including suspects). But I think that also requires a bit of luck (at least at my skill level) since it could very quickly result in officer down situations when bad guys for whatever reasons don't give up... Also if you press shift you change your moving speed. This gives you better accuracy quicker when you stop. In another video you talked about how usually you guys don't really run so I think that was what the devs were going for.

another fantastic game thats worth looking into! THIS IS THE POLICE It basically puts you into a chief/dispatcher role while also having to deal with the politics. The artworks pretty cool, gameplay interesting, and it has some intensity. They also did a continuation of the game as well but they are definitely very long games!

If you install Elite Force Mod, it will improve your gameplay quality!

if you have the time, you should look into a couple mods. speech recognition improvement and swat elite force.(which i think includes it's own speech improvement stuff). it makes orders 100x easier and i must recommend using voice if you can get it set up. i also think these are modifiable so you can change what to say for the needed order.

you know..that actually made me laugh how they all shouting at the same time without letting one person to speak out 5:17 i mean who goes around shouting in police work?

I only just noticed they misspelled "Colombia" as "Columbia". Hahaha! :) I personally wedge the second entrance, as suspects sometimes spawn there. And that T-intersection... nasty surprise. I personally would use wedge to isolate different parts of the house so you can clear each area without interference. In rooms that have a lot of shelving or places to hide, a gas grenade may be more useful than flashbangs. And if you need to hold down a LARGE room, you can toss a grenade too along with your fellow operators into a different part of the room, or bounce it off the door. I actually had some tactics for this map on Gamefaqs... Made it back in 2007. :D

If you want, you can listen to 911 call during mission briefing. Make your SWAT officers stack up as they will check if the door is locked or not that way they won't be out in the open when you play harder missions. Sometimes I usually split the team (even though you said in the SWAT 4 training mission not to split up) to check the washrooms and scan the room of any hostiles in the room. Then I tell them to either flash or use cs after they give me a report of any suspect or civilian. If you want, you can get your officers to arrest suspect/civilian. If there is a lot of suspects/civilians I usually get my officers to detain them as to avoid them running away or suspect getting up and running away to pick up a gun then shoot you. Sometimes I get lucky where the AI throw the gas or flash perfectly. It depends on the AI. Recommend you scan all rooms no matter what to avoid any surprises. Not sure if this will happen to you but sometimes the gun is glitch that I cannot pick up the gun. You will get some instance civilian will not comply with your orders. Pretty much what TheFirstStriker7065 said is what I would say. Each element should have optiwand. Though I didn't know about fake surrender and just yell so many times only to get shot. Redo mission 1 to get that 100% and regain your honor as a SWAT officer! LOL!

GTA 5 HAS COP MODE THAT'S FUN TO PLAY SINCE I AM A PATROL OFFICER TO. Use your flash bang grenades or smoke when entering to though a door and room!

Ah yes, welcome to the world of SWAT 4, where your teammates always have sissy girl throws with the grenades. You gotta get used to looking away every time they throw a flashbang or it's going to blind you.

If you are interested in the game you have 2 options last I checked, the $40 edition which will give you early beta access, and access to the full game upon release. Or the $120 "supporter" version which will give you early Alpha access and the first expansion pack for free, also Alpha access will allow you to play the game right now instead of waiting for beta. Honestly, I own the supporter edition and I can't say too much about it as I am under a non disclosure agreement, but I can say to just wait until the full game is released. You're really not missing too much in the Alpha. But there are your options. If you're liking swat 4 though, I think you'll like RoN.

"The Ai on this is bad" Yea they are really hit or miss, sometimes they can't even properly throw a grenade, sometimes thay are super smart and do just what you need them to. My reccomendation, find humans. We actually run a small private discord server of people that professionally play, you're free to join if you want, you only need ask and I would provide you with the discord link. We will also be carrying over to ready or not when it is released.

Unauthorized Deadly Force is probably you didn't issue compliance yell to the suspects and killed them instantly and/or the suspect didn't pose any threats (pointing guns @ start shooting) but still, you killed them hahaha... Incapacitated means wounded or injured... Based on my own understanding...

I am guessing you must have downloaded the SEF Swat 4 elite force mod which does make the experience a little more realistic? I must say the AI for the game could have used some modding such as not standing in the middle of the room but if your team could automatically crouch behind cover etc etc. I'll like to see your reaction of Ready or Not when it comes out.
