National Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day takes place each year on Dec. 21 as the winter solstice brings with it the longest night of the year. In an effort to honor those lost in 2021, Southwest Community Health Center hosted a memorial event right here in Bridgeport, CT.
The ceremony included songs performed by the Pivot Ministries Choir, the sharing of stories from some of our community members and a presentation of carnations as a symbol of remembrance for those who have passed away in 2021.
