The new faction of enemies was the cherry on top of it all. I was expecting them to show off the exotics and the prismatic only, then they showed the Dread. That was unexpected in my opinion
For warframe I been begging for a tier of archon shard where u can have augment mods on them making buildcrafting insane but destiny did it first with exotics/augments n warframe did it first for helmnith n I love n play both games, im so happy
@@raekwonchambers2297 Wouldn't really be that insane and would make virtually no difference lol. You can already equip 6 augments per frame for any ability (even helminth'd abilities). The only thing you lose out on is some regular mods, but the actual archon shards and arcane's make up for it.
@@raekwonchambers2297 If you are talking about having 2 augments for 1 ability. There are like 5 abilities out of the 200 abilities in the game that actually have 2 augments for them that exist lol
@@Suckko no I mean I want archon shards to have augments so u don’t have to take up a mod slot. N u can stack however many u want since u can still run the mods on your wf
Yeah sorry I doubt destiny 3 will ever be a thing. Maybe like updating or overhauling destiny 2 and removing the 2 "destiny online" but theres no way they got destiny 3 in the works right now maybe in 5 years lol
@@necrolios4640 they have Sony money now, and with what Luke Smith said there is something beyond Destiny 2. I just think they need help with other studios
There’s no shot the raid is anything but dread coz that would be pretty disappointing either a dread raid or a raid with all the races once encounter each race that would be cool
@@ZhaloSupercell1 Yeah I would prefer that. I can see them doing the Witness as just one encounter, but I think that it'd actually be more interesting if you fight him over and over, in different forms, as you go through the raid.
They went from "we don't want to overdeliver" to "nothing is broken if everything is broken" real quick once half the team got fired. Honestly, good. This might actually save the game. They should go ahead and combine Gambit and Crucible together, too. Because Gambit is really fun but vestigial, while Crucible is going to be impossible to balance now. So just put them together. Go full PvEvP.
It wasn't just because the team got fired, it's mainly because the executives are getting liquidated by Sony and they lost a lot of community trust. They're losing their cashcow and a large chunk of their community no longer trusts them, so they finally let their devs cook for once as a Hail Mary, something they've should've done literally forever ago.
@@hhastedo better in your time your ass same shit as always and the fucking bungie final shape doesn't have a player base like witch queen so they're broke well sony needs to join
They are finally implementing what was supposed to be in Destiny 1. The ability to mix and match subclass element abilities. Way back then, the demo they showed with double primary (pulse rifle and handcannon) they had shown the Warlock using Solar and Void abilities.
We're talking about a guy who will ignore the item description of a key boss weapon item in Dark Souls 3 and then complain that he can't figure out how to do damage. The guy does not pay attention lmao.
I would love a raid encounter where you see some grim fall down, but the your ghost lights the area up, and this super giga grim is the first boss or something like that.
im about to have 3 grenades as a hunter that each reload my guns when thrown and that feeds me more grenades cus i get more grenade energy when i have over shield due to moth keepers + titan abilities
For anyone who doesn't know. For prismatic, Bungie has showed that there are specific abilities, supers grenades, aspects and fragments that can be used. Not all of them are available, so there are limits. Secondly, Cosmo told Datto that the exitic class items perks will NOT be as strong as wearing 2 exotics as the perks strengths are not copied 1 to 1. Meaning they will be nerfed vs the actually exotic in some way (likely tuned for each perk I'd guess). So it likely won't as broken as most of us originally thought, but this does still sound cool in both additions. My main question is, can you wear another exotic along with the class item (like in D1) or not. I'd guess not, but who knows at this point.
8:18 I feel the same way. Everyone is gonna be running prismatic over other subclasses because why not. It seems broken over other subclasses. Even if you cant use everything from the other subclasses.
Absolute W stream, might even top Forsaken from what I'm seeing. I still think people will run same subclasses, especially if there are certain artifact mods where ability kills with a matching element will buff super damage or something like that. Plus a lot of the regular subclass abilities synergize well with each other and will still have their niche uses.
Uh i don't think so i am calling it right now that there going to add Prismatic perks in the Artifact which will make you do more damage while you have Prismatic equipped and you go Transcendant so you can dish out some serious pain!. They normally do this when it comes to new subclasses where they add that subclass specific perks to increase it's power while giving a couple of light subclass ability buffs.
im surprised that is an unpopular opinion, but i feel like prismatic ruins the entire fun and uniqueness of subclasses. I think that is part of the charm of destiny that you are with a certain power type and used that with all its uniqueness from the other ones, now you just spam whatever you want together and that feels wrong. Theres no point in going for a build with one subclass because its more optimal to just spam together the most op abilities. If i wanted i could just use one subclass sure, but that gets ruined by the possibility using prismatic. I think that normal subclasses have a feeling of sacrificing not having one good ability to use this other good one, and i think its good for fun purposes to have to sacrifice something. Everyone just says how good this is, i dont see why
@@oxsila I don't agree, innovation is inventing something new, what prismatic does is just jam together a bunch of old stuff and removes all identity and (in my opinion) uniqueness of subclasses. My take is for preserving a really good aspect of the game because I don't think that can be innovative just to jam together random old things. also i think they showed a titan turning invisible so now they remove the stuff that makes each class special as well and just blend everything into one, which is just gross
People saying that the new enemies “aren’t actually a new race” because one of the enemies are the same species as psions, like bro STFU, preferably forever, stop complaining about everything.
@@oxsila I'm one of them 💀. But even sweatcicle said he couldn't find anything to critique, so that means that it's gonna be a blast. I personally don't think destiny 2 is dying. I watch mactics more, because I like his builds and he's a positive guy. Not to hate on sweatcicle, I think they're both fine destiny youtubers. I liked mactics's reaction to prismatic subclasses, I bet he's already imagining some builds. Not to mention with the exotic class item, like imagine combining assassin's cowl invisibility with liars handshake damage on a titan. Yeah the perks aren't limited to the classes either, so hope you get such a roll on the exotic class item.
Tbh I never wanted the mix of subclasses I’ve never really thought about it but it kinda cool I’m just wondering if anyone would play the single subclasses
Well a lot of people will still be rocking the single subclass because to get the Full kit of fragments and aspects you have to own Final Shape even though yes they will give everyone a starter kit for Prismatic but to get more powerful kits you have to complete missions and travel around the pale heart to find Aspects and fragments (Where some are only acquired through harder activities inside pale heart which requires ownership of Final Shape).
This comment is late yeah yeah, but i realized that the invis titan had assassin's cowl....idk what the other one was but it was assassin's cowl melee titan...thats slightly horrifying
I think people here have misread Luke's facial expressions at the start there - he specifically distinguished between the future of destiny 2 and destiny the franchise. Whether that means Destiny 3, a spin-off game, or some other form of media is yet to be revealed, but it seems likely that Destiny 3 is on the cards at some point - and that's coming from someone who has usually been of the view that we will never get a third game.
So. Basically after final shape. All subtypes are combined. So d3. Should potentially have another 5 subclasses. With a "transcended" advanced tier type maybe grow outside the main 3. Create another 3 on top of it. So 6 sub or 12 subclasses with any 5subclass combo? Would be insane. The game has to be wayyyyyy bigger than just the tower helm and worlds. We need MOREEEEEEEE. I'm hype. My imagination alone. Is eating me alive for the potential.
Potential for new enemies. New worlds. New classes. New story arch's. New guns. New worlds. New timelines. Old timelines. Etc etc like any MMO. It being a shooter is definatly a different take. In general. Destiny is next level shooter. Hoping for a good future w the franchise. Hoping Bungie doesn't abandon what they created AGAIN.
I completely agree that I think it’s time for this game to reach its conclusion, rather it’s final shape, and let it run on til whenever it actually dies out. They’re giving us everything we ever wanted, and I’m completely here for it. I think they’ll milk this new enemy type for a while in episodes. But let’s be honest, what more can they really add after this other than fine tuning builds? More supers, sure. But eventually you’ll hit a point where it’s just too convoluted and messy to do much of anything with between all the guns and exotics. Now some exotics if not all will be useless compared to class items, and prismatic is really the only subclass you need. Another hard reset may be what this game needs soon as much as I hate to admit it.
This is their chance to go ham on more creative mechanics like pervading darkness that force us to actually think about positioning instead of just sitting in an invincible well
Lmao remember when they said exotic armors needed to be recognizable for the sake of crucible players. The class items are awesome but crucible is gonna be a painful guessing game now
As much as I’d love to continue in Destiny 2, I won’t be entirely surprised if we do get a D3. I mean, how can we continue after something like this. A new game may have to happen in order for the next Saga to happen. I’m only speculating, but I just wouldn’t put it past them after all this cooking they be doing.
I use to get excited over them showing off the new stuff. But everything gets nerfed into the ground when pvp starts complaining. After a while, the hype just isn’t there any longer
"We are going to DE (digital extremes, warframe devs) route! balance is out the window! lets go!" THIS MAN IS SPEAKING FACTS! THEY BROKE THE CHAINS OF BALANCE. 6:30
on the topic of destiny 3, it needs to happen because its the only way to truely preserve the games legacy and story, sunsetting and content vaulting is the alternative to making a destiny 3 but it gatekeeps us from playing the content that we payed for. some people keep thinking we can continue with destiny 2 but the games already hit years ago its maximum life span and was only extended by removing content. i think this would be the best way to end this saga and move onto a new story
The only reason Destiny 3 should ever happen is if they intend to do what Path of Exile 2 is doing. Making the game very different to Destiny 2. If it's just another sequel where everyone cries for them to bring Destiny 2 stuff into 3 it's gonna be the same nostalgia ridden reskinned liquid ass.
They will not move on Destiny 2, they will evolve it over time probably. I'm ready for the nex chapter and look ot for the Vex/Ishtar future, seems fun to me.
