Don't use those abrasive de-fuzzers. You only break more fibers which will pill again. It's better (but riskier) to use an electric de-fuzzer with blades so that you cut the tangled fibers instead of pulling and ripping them out.
Saving this- I have beautiful sweaters but they pull and it sucks to wash bc they’ll ruin them. Makes me not want to buy them anymore. $. I’ll try this asap
Where was this video before i ruined my sweater 😩 it’s 98% acrylic but i’m guessing i should’ve treated it like this because i threw it in the wash ONCE and now i can’t even wear it, even after using my depiller on the whole thing it got all fuzzy again within less than 4 hours 🙄
@Poppi_Wasel Did you miss the part about pouring liquid soap into the sink or wash basin, letting the sweater sit in that water for a bit, swishing it around, rinsing it, rolling it in a clean towel to de-water it, and then laying it flat to dry? Looks like the washing process to me!
the tool doesn't matter much. you can even use a razor (like for having legs). You just gotta do it gently and in the right direction (trial and error)
cookytrix yeah you can argue it’s a waste of time but what’s the point of buying a nice expensive sweater if you’re going to ruin it after throwing it in the wash one time?
