When John gave his old Mamas the trophy and they all embraced each other and cried that was one of the most beautiful moments I've seen in Melodifestivalen. It made me all warm and goey inside.

Me and my mum were just full on sobbing with happiness when they won and once we realized that John was going to hand them the trophy we just looked at each other and SCREAMED

still sad we didn't get dotterdam but the mamas can definitely finish top 10 saying that sweden always get top 10 so they would be doing bad if they didn't

Kevin Deering i personally think it’s a huge achievement to nab top 10 any year, no matter what country you are. It requires a top song and amazing work ethic from the team. Countries like Sweden and Italy just make it look easy, when really it isn’t!

I haven't really liked anything my country has sent since 2015, but this year I feel like I can stand by Sweden's choice and it's definitely in my top 5!

I like the song very much but... For Sweden to send the same type of song like last year which wasn't popular with the televote at all got me thinking, is this a smart move?

They were 9th in the televote, only 8 countries did better, and 32 did worse. Is that what you consider "not popular with the televote"? I would say that they were really popular in the televote, otherwise they wouldn´t be in the top 10 in the televote. Not just not as popular as the top 8. I feel like the expectations are a bit high on Sweden at times. Being in the top 10 in the televotes, and top 5 in total is a great result! Melodifestivalen isn´t about "smart moves", but about just voting for the song/songs you love the most.

Considering people were yelling about wanting the mamas as their own act last year and this is so much more upbeat and happy, yes. i think it's a good move.

@@Asa...S 9th in the televote, for Sweden, that is not enough. You saw John's face after he got 93 points? Sweden always wants to win, no matter what. They don't care 32 did worse. 8 did better.

I think it´s lovely that there are different kind of music from different genres in ESC and something for everyone to listen to and watch, both for young and old. It´s a tv-show with music. Why care so much about the competition? Sweden has won twice in a short time so we don´t need to win. It´s better to let other countries win that haven´t and that will be a great change. Take care.

Nothing against the Mamas, they are great singers no doubt about it but Dotter would have been a better choice and would have given Sweden another win IMO

I don't think Dotter would've won. I think Dotter is a fan favorite, not a favorite among the general public. I think she would've gotten less televotes than The Mamas in ESC. And we all know that the juries will love The Mamas.

@@peppermintcrush5794 We´ll find out about the televotes for The Mamas but the juryvotes, I think that they will do well with them. The people who really care and vote are very few comparing to all the people who actually watch it. I do think though, that the song "Bulletproof" is too average but as a Swede I don´t want Sweden to win again, I want to see countries win that haven´t. That is so much more fun and I hope for Iceland, Bulgaria or Malta to win, as I don´t recall they have won the contest? I do think, that The Mamas will lighten up the contest with their presence and appeal to both young and old. But even if people like the song, they may vote for another country, they prefer to see win the contest.

I think it's good. I'd prefer last year. It's still in my top, probably 5. I dont think its the winner. But I'm irish so maybe I just dont want sweden winning.

I voted for Dotter in the final, but I'm sad to say I'm really disappointed by people who hate on The Mamas for winning over her. It's possible to like both entries, and even if you don't, you could at least be respectful towards the winner.

Dotterdam sounded like Ellie Goulding singing a Sia song also called 'Bulletproof' 🙄 The Mamas are great and uplifting.

This is a good entry, but I really wanted Dotter or Anna so I'm kinda bummed. Plus unfortunately this will be pitted against Malta for not so great reasons and I think thats not the most favorable for the Mamas. Lots of love to them all the same for being a big step in the right direction for Sweden, though!

It's literally not the same song? They're in the same ballpark when it comes to genre but the melodies and everything is so different. Clean your ears out before commenting please.

Just because it's two songs in roughly the same genre doesn't mean it's basically the same song. If that was the case, then Heroes, If I were sorry, and I can't go on are basically the same song too, because they're all pop songs.

They are so happy and you can really see that, and they sing well. But the song is pretty boring and especially the lyrics are very, very bland and generic.
