After 5 days of snowshoeing across the Fulufjället plateau (using our packrafts as pulkas), and 40 km of packrafting on the river Görälven, we break up camp nearby the hamlet of Årkåsa (Norway) and embark on the final 25 km on Görälven to the Södra Kungsleden Portal nearby Stöten (Sweden).
We again enjoy beautiful sunlit landscapes and a river that is generally very calm albeit flooded. Only at the Swedish-Norwegian border is a rapid that is reputed among canoers, but does not pose any difficulty whatsoever for our packrafts.
We take out at a footbridge where the serenity of the past 5 + 2 days is suddenly disturbed by chainsaws (park rangers cleaning up the bushes around the bridge).
