Whether Sweden wins or America wins, the technology that can judge such a delicate situation without doubt is wonderful. Without the goal line technology, it would have been the subject of debate for at least six months.
All of you commenting like the US lost due to wokeism, activism, etc: I am from Sweden and I can assure you that when it comes to things like that the US atheletes are pure amateurs. All the swedish national players does not hesitate to state their wiews on everything that you in US consider contoversieal. Your team has a couple of individuals that speaks our their mind but like Sweden has at least 10 Rapinoes. Blaming wokeness for loosing is just stupid.
To be honest, only a small fraction of USA knows anything about soccer. All these comments about Woke you see here are from far right people who repeats the far right politics narrative branding the team as losers when in reality they are not related. Congratulations with the win, go Japan! LOL
@@Brucemcleod2345 The U.S is not a country to be proud of. We all get why they wouldn’t want to sing your national anthem. And trying to MAKE people sing or salute the country is VERY facist of you. Sincerly, the rest of the world.
My favourite FIFA Women's World Cup moment of all time...Sweden sending the USA home! First time ever in FIFA Women's World Cup history the USA goes home empty-handed...WOW!!
When there so much talk about the USA coach..the defense and goal keeping was stunning..the concern is the final third..amazing number of shots on target..certainly the players responsibility to find the net..on the penalties rapino should never have been in the game..poor corners, free kick, and penalty..that is only coaching decision I would question
After the Round of 16 finished, there's just one country remaining representing America...that's Colombia, who eliminated Jamaica. All of the supposedely great teams like Brazil, Canada, USA have been eliminated.
Actually, USA lost in PKs to Japan in the WC final 2011 (even worst because it was ahead by a goal twice before Japan tied and send the game to PKs). This pretty much can be said it was the reason for the federation change which created the current dinasty.
This time, USA are not the best team they have compared to previous world cups. Maybe old players. They nearly knocked out at group stage by Portugal. Both teams were too nervous on this penalty shootout after a few shots taken gone wide and above the post. Can see both players were not kicking the ball hard enough with speed and too much control on the trajectory/direction of shot rather than the pace. Too slow like lob the ball and not taking the real shot. Funny. BTW, Sweden GK was brilliant in the first 120 minutes. TBH.. I really doubt with the goal line technology on this Hurtig final penalty kick. Is it really that fine margin? 0.000001 inches? Can't argue. It was decided. Anyway, congrats to Sweden. March on to the next game.
@@abdouu-wt6tv I can find a 9 minute highlight of the game and a 15 minute highlight of the penalties. But nothing for the full match. I recorded them , at the time they were played , and watched every 2023 wwc game. But that was on my tv and they have all been deleted. You could try searching you tube. Apart from that , i dont know. Fifa maybe, from their website. Or the tv company that showed them originally. The BBC / ITV have a back up / on demand section , but i havent looked there. Might be different in your country. Sorry i couldnt help more. Good luck.
I like football because i enjoy when you watch match and i love usa mean America and i respect another team sweden , if you have a chance i chose America first
@jaimemurcia1486 5 months ago And they want equal pay as the US men team. That would be an equal amount of money every time they play for the National team? Sounds fair. After all , every other country in the world does that.

In the 80s and 90s when I played...I made it to Canadian juniors level, and the ONLY RULE WAS YOU NEVER LET THE GAME BE DECIDE BY A REF OR PENALTY KICKS..All or nothing, leave with a completly empty tank or you didnt play at all..we were coached to win, no weakness..and we grew up men...now a days too many games end in penalty kicks, which means neither team was hungry enough...no crying in baseball, no weakness in soccer...
Wrong, its the opposite. There wasn't any activism this year, thats why they lost. All the activism was in 2019 when they won the world cup, activism is what motivated them to win, they did not seem very motivated this year.
