Just dunk everything in queso....I mean what could go wrong right? 🤷🏻♀😂 I hope you two get creative and make some awesome snacks of your own. Love you guys! ❤
When I am craving a ham or turkey sandwich but don't want to eat a whole one, I often take the lunch meat, add on the mayo, mustard, pickle and anything else I want, roll it up and eat it without the bread. Super easy and yummy! 7 layer dip is not just for super bowl or game spectacles.....we often eat it for dinner in our house. It is basically a taco dismantled.
7 layer dip can be a meal itself. I use, in this order, refried beans, not heated, sour cream, guacamole, shredded cheese (1 or a combination of: cheddar, Colby Jack, pepper jack, Monterey jack), diced tomato, diced avocado, green onion (aka spring onion). While it is a dip, my sons will sometimes load it into a flour tortilla to make a burrito. You have to try it, it's delicious. I will also make a 6 layer version for the friends/family who don't like onions.
I've watched Jolly for close to a year I think. Love when they go to boy's school and the different reactions of American food. The head of the school absolutely loves everything. Thanks Recky and Carol.
Swedish citizens can visit the United States visa-free for up to 90 days for tourism, business, medical treatment, or short study through the Visa Waiver Program (VWP). To qualify, travelers must meet the following requirements:
A small thing I learned when I was curious about making queso is that the best cheese would be cheddar. I'm not one for sharp cheddar but a mild one would be perfect to work with the spices.
Folks are as proud of their Superbowl food as they are of Christmas & Thanksgiving food. In fact, the 4th of July and Labor Day are important food events too, it's just that these & the SB are casual food events as opposed to sit-down dinners. These casual events are also typically 'potluck' meals, which means individuals bring their own best dishes. The 'luck' is when you start eating something fabulous from someone else's 'pot.' It's the only time I eat Velveeta. lol Of them all, my favorite toothpick food is the salami-wrapped cream cheese with sweet pickle relish & pimento, my fav dip is 7-Layer Dip, my favorite meat is Chili Dogs, and my fav salad is Potato with Hard-boiled eggs (no onion). All washed down while sipping Irish Whiskey, water on the side. hehehe ONE PRIDE Detroit Lions! 🦁🦁🦁
Tailgating is literally what it sounds like. You just setup on the tailgate of a truck or in the lot next to your car and start grilling food and have beer on ice.
I would absolutely love to see your local options and the Americanized versions of things. I hope you get to enjoy the real thing one day but I would tune in for around you and cheaper to get places
7 layer dip is awesome just make your own guacamole because imo the store bought stuff is awful all you need is avadodoes in the amount you need garlic powder onion powder sea salt (imo) onions in the amount needed depending on amount made some like jalapeno i prefer serano personally to taste and onion again depending on amount you are making ... for yall i'd say 4-5 decent size avocados 1 1/2 white onion 2 jalapenos diced fine you can microwave them in water to make them softer if ya like (onions rough chopped ) 3 medium sized tomatoes mash the avocado till it's smooth or to your liking add onion pepper tomato and slowly add seasonings to taste when you reach desired taste with gp and onp and sea salt done hope yall read this and try it's super simple and tasty but beware the peppers i use more but idk you tolerance so ere on the side of caution also you don't need to nuke the peppers you can dice them fresh and toss em in but beware the seeds
Have you two reacted to Jolly's Louisiana Crawdad boil and I'm almost certain you DID react to the one w/ Gumbo when they tried it and Ollie was just drinking it like it was a soft drink... Yeah, Recky, but you should check out some of the destruction that occurs during the OSU/Michigan Games... I wanna say sometimes in the 1980's or 1990's maybe early 2000's where they overturn cars and catch stuff on fire on campus. Never been to London, so not sure what they are doing there, but I'd try one of each, decide which is better and go w/ that pickle type (we do sweet and dill too on pickles so....). BUT! What I do (and I think you two would like) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Salami Cream Cheese Roll Ups 1 package salami slices (12 oz) 8 oz cream cheese, softened 2 teaspoons dry chives 2 teaspoons dry onion 1 teaspoon garlic powder Pepper to taste Green olives, optional for garnish Pretzels, optional for serving Toothpicks Instructions In a bowl mix cream cheese, chives, onion, garlic powder, and pepper until well combined. To make the salami rolls spread the cream cheese mixture on a salami slice and roll up Secure the rolls with a toothpick. Use can stack up to three rolls per toothpick. If desired, place a green olive on the exposed end of the toothpick. Serve with remaining filling and pretzels. Expert Tips This Recipe Can be Doubled: This is a great finger food to bring to a party. For a large crowd double ingredients proportionally for these salami cream cheese roll ups. Pickles: If you are not a fan of olives, you can use a gherkin pickle to secure the exposed end of the toothpick. Meat Roll Ups: You can also make these roll ups with other sliced meats such as roast beef, turkey, or ham. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ If you get to the USA and have BBQ you BETTER film it Recky! I am beyond Serious. This is a MUST. Don't you DARE not film your (Both of you, preferably) 1st BBQ experience (professionally done, anyway). Baseball games last about three hours on average, but various factors can extend or shorten the game. The duration of baseball games has been a topic of discussion in recent years. The Major League Baseball (MLB) has made efforts to address game length and improve the pace of play This clock allows a specific amount of time for each pitch, aiming to reduce the time between plays. As a result, the average game time has seen a reduction of about 30 minutes. Games now last around 2 hours and 40 minutes. (for now, anyway.) BUT! Recy is KINDA correct as the LONGEST game ever was played in 8 hours and 6minutes over 2 days. (Tie). May 8, 1984: Chicago White Sox 7, Milwaukee Brewers 6 Length: 25 innings This is the longest game in MLB history in terms of time. It took eight hours and six minutes -- and it had to be completed over two days. The game began on May 8. With 14,754 fans in attendance at Comiskey Park, the two teams played 17 innings before the game was suspended at 1 a.m. with the score tied, 3-3. There was an American League rule that no new inning could begin after that time.
Getting S**tfaced and fighting, between opponents fans, is a worldwide phenomenon. A regular season NFL game is scheduled for 3 hours. They can run longer, especially overtime games. Then we have Monday Night Football, and Thursday Night Football. Sundays games start at 1pm, 3pm, and 7pm, Monday and Thursday at 8 pm. All games are scheduled using EST. High schools are played Friday night, and colleges play Saturday. Pee Wee games through the week.
Kosher dill pickles! Vinegary/salty to break the creaminess and fattiness of the salami/cream cheese. Sweet pickles don't belong anywhere near the household.
You don’t know how it warms my heart to hear that sugar isn’t bombarding children over there. It’s so simple and such a fact. It does more harm than good. It;s one of the main things I have a very hard time tolerating. Moderation shouldn’t need to be taught!!!
💙🇺🇲 I swear, if i were rich, i would send you two to Texas today just to be able to watch you guys enjoying yourselves eating Texas Bar-B-Que while your eyes roll back in your heads and you can't stop drooling all over your plates of food.😂😂😂🥩🍗🍖
i live half the year in chicago and half down in new orleans. one night i fell asleep watching one of their videos and had a dream i flew them over and road tripped w them from the superdome to wrigley field, fishing in missippi, stopping at the grove in ole miss, graceland, the arch, lincoln tomb, etc. haha. meeting fans along the way. it really wouldn't cost that much and it would be amazing.
7 Layer Dip is EASY to make. 1 can (16 ounces) refried beans, 1 container (16 ounces) sour cream, 1 package McCormick Original Taco Seasoning Mix, 1 package (8 ounces) shredded Cheddar cheese, 1 cup prepared guacamole, 1 cup chopped tomatoes, 1/2 cup sliced green onions, 1/2 cup sliced black olives Mix the taco seasoning in with the sour cream and then layer all the ingredients...beans, sour cream, cheese, guacamole, tomatoes, onions and olives and EAT with tortilla chips.
Or mix taco seasoning with the refried beans. It thins it out for easier spreading & dipping. 😉& add shredded lettuce if others don't like guacamole. 😊
Yeah also they wanna sell you concessions at an extreme mark up and the food you tailgate will always be 100 times better than stadium hot dogs and nachos.
The Super Bowl is like 4 or 5 hours long and the half time show is like 30 minutes long something like that. It’s the biggest game in the world, it’s insane.
We make almost all those foods for superbowl. Our sons make a few of them and we do and it's perfect ! For the salami rolls I use cream cheese and garlic dill spears. There easy and so delicious!! We almost never have leftovers because all the grandkids love it too!
i love a good 7-layer dip. i like to mix a small can (drained) of chopped chillis in with the refried beans, sour cream, salsa, shredded lettuce, chopped tomatos, blacks olives ., cheese...... yum!
My "7 Layer" dip is refried beans, ground beef cooked with taco seasoning, shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, tomatoes and black olives. Sometimes I'll put on shredded lettuce and guacamole on the side for those who want to add it plus a bowl of queso. Little Smokies sausages or meatballs with bbq sauce heated in a crockpot. Spinach Dip, French Onion Dip or Crab Dip are also options. Mushrooms, Baby Sweet Peppers (bell peppers) and/or jalapenos stuffed with onion & chive cream cheese (cooked crumbled breakfast sausage optional) wrapped in bacon and grilled in my NuWave Oven or an Air Fryer. Those are the snacks I fix for parties. Most of the snacks are meant for Super Bowl parties at someone's home or a bar, etc where they're watching the game on tv as a group.
You may consider vacuum sealing the Velveeta, there is a 12 PSI change during the cargo plane ride. The foil bag will puff up and probably tear during shipping.
💙🇺🇲 You should really get into watching Boys and Girls Little League baseball/softball. Teams consist of kids aged (I think, between 11yrs - 13 yrs old), and the teams are selected from many different countries. It has a time limit, so not to worry because there are no 8hr games. You should really look up Little League Baseball to see what it's all about if you don't already know about it!!! The kids are so much fun to watch, and the thing is the respect that is shown by the kids and the adults to one another is great to watch! 😊 💜🙏☮️🙏💜
Exactly! I bought into the hype years ago when one opened near where I worked. My god, it was the worst thing I had ever paid good money for!!! But Culver's food is a treat! Double cheeseburger basket with heavy raw onions please!
18:44 love Carol's eyes. but her eyes at this point... i have told you both that the epitome of "being american" is to do what makes you happy. this sort of thing is normal.
There have been some serious fights between some fans...usually during or after the game by over enthusiastic drunk fans!! Gets ugly some times.!! You're so funny, Recky!!! Baseball games are usually about 3 hours...occasionally longer with a tie game! Gotta break the tie no matter how long it takes!!⚾️⚾️⚾️
07AUG24 FYI: l it is: Pastrami wrapped around a spear of dill pickle and cream cheese. Complimenting while contrasting. Recky, I hope you look at carol as you did that 7 layer dip. On baseball, average is 6 hrs longer ones can be 8. Have you seen when they bring UNI students to try American Bar-b-que?
Maybe you can go to London and Prairie Fire restaurant (the American owned one) and eat those foods. Maybe less expensive than flying all the way to America? But you should come some day and go to Terry Blacks in Texas and have proper barbecue! My husband went to Malmo for work several years ago. I couldn’t go with him unfortunately but someday! Love you guys!😍😄
I live in Baton Rouge Louisiana our college hers is LSU (Louisiana State University) we tailgate from when the sun comes up until when the game starts that night, we always invite anyone around, even the fans coming from the other team, everyone is family to us, come and enjoy There could be over 200,000 or more folks drinking and eating on campus on gameday
Wonderful reaction video. Thank you. Check out Cowboy Kent Rollins, a chuck wagon cook. The man knows his stuff. I think y'all would enjoy watching his channel.
You have the Frank’s hot sauce so you just need chicken wings and butter to make those wings. I use ham vs salami with brick cream cheese with dill pickle. Ribs have a rub of several of your seasonings, quick grilled to sear the meat, then bakes on 200f for 5 hours…..the 7 layer can be their combination or a taco mix combo; hamburger, salsa, shredded cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, black olives, sour cream, and guacamole… corn chip to dip. Just a suggestion: Jolly is a brand and your brand is Recky and Carol, if you come to US call ahead and the restaurant will help you make the video to promote their food. I hope with Ads, subscribers, and views your channel will buy your house and tour the US by 2025.
Carol, you're getting a lot of 7 layer dip recipes. I add ground beef to mine. Brown 1-1/2 pounds ground beef and add Taco Seasoning Mix 1-1/2 envelopes + water. Cook until the water evaporates and let the ground beef cool. Layer the dip with refried beans, sour cream, ground beef, cheese, guac, tomato, spring onions and mild or medium salsa. I sometimes make it as dinner. I serve it like lasagna and everyone has their own plate and chips.
Recky, White Castle burgers are horrible, a sentiment shared by many Americans. I’m only saying this to you because I would hate to see you build up your expectations then be disappointed. Just sayin’!
“Casseroles!” sneered Recky while side-eyeing the room temperature casserole sitting unceremoniously on the counter not 3 feet away. Texas seems so near, yet so far.
Haven't had 7-layer dip in decades but it's SOOO delicious. Once you start, nearly impossible to stop eating it. Unless, of course, there are all those other goodies. When we did salami and cream cheese, we used a dill spear, and then sliced it crosswise to make little 'wheels' which were a quick, bite-size appetizer. White Castle sliders were a staple in college (back when dinosaurs roamed the earth). Not sure I'd find them as palatable now.
The Philadelphia Eagles fans are mean and will throw things at players, coaches and even their own team sometimes! We usually do sausage balls, Ro-Tel cheese dip, 7 layer dip, chicken wings, short ribs, devlied eggs and lots of other chips and dips. Everyone usually does their own thing. Then you sit for 4 hours snacking and watching the game.
Recky in American sports the game can be long is because we play until someone wins. None of this 0-0 ties like soccer. Unless you are 7 years and beginning to play baseball. 😂😂😂 . Don’t go to White Castle unless you want the runs and indigestion. It’s nasty.
The salami wraps - spread cream cheese over salami; add dill (sour) pickled cucumbers sliced julienne style. We love our homemade comfort food, too. We have the humble casserole/hot dish for that.
The newest try for me was smoked meatloaf ground beef, pork and lamb all the other meat loaf bits, smoked with apple wood on the Weber grill. Was good, but lamb is like 14.00 a pound
Baseball games can for sure last up to 8 hrs. It’s not like our football games that have a specific time for each quarter. It’s dependent on how long it takes each team to get 3 outs in each of the 9 innings. Each team has a turn every inning so even just one inning can take 45 mins. And it gets even more insane if they are tied after 9 innings and have to play additional innings. Sometimes it can go into like 12 innings. It’s crazy!!
Guacamole is easy to make. Just mash up some ripe avocado, chopped cilantro, Add diced tomato, kosher salt and juice from a fresh line. Add the salt and lime juice to taste.
Fights definitely happen in the NFL but yes it's generally not common. A lot of times the fights at NFL games actually happen between fans of the same team. Anytime you get people together and there's alcohol there's a chance for fights.
Cheese dip is easy: mix velveeta, rotel, cooked sausage in a crockpot, then stir when melted together and use tortilla chips to dip while keeping warm in the crockpot. Also , poppers (we always had called them armadillos in the past): cut fresh jalopeno peppers sideways, take out all the seeds, put cream cheese in the halfed pepper, wrap with a piece of bacon and secure with a toothpick. Bake or broil them on a sheet pan. Very delicious snacks!
