Only problem I have with this statement is that she states sanctions should be brought upon “violent settlers”, despite the fact that all settlers are there illegally and the government is directly involved as they send IDF members as security for them whenever the settlers want to dole out violence against Palestinians. We need to accept that the government of Israel is involved in every single aspect of Palestinian oppression and not tap dance around it and delay on sanctioning the country as a whole.

It may be too little and too late but thank you, Sweden, for acknowledging the fact that there is “terrible suffering” in Palestine and that it is supported by the US and the EU. Furthermore, if you call Hamas a terrorist organisation, you should be consistent and call Israel a terrorist state.
Israel doesn't get to decide whether or not the palestinians have a right to self-determination, this is something that is enshrined in the united nations charter, it is something that is enshrined into international law, it is also a founding principle of the united nations decision to found Israel! So, you know it is absolutely necessary that Israel accepts that it cannot exist without the existence of a palestinian state!
