Thank you Paradox Get arms against Tyranny using my link: play.heartsofiron.com/Stakuyi Thanks to another youtuber, @PydginPlays I have learned that if we play longer we could go even faster. Dare we break the game with the fastest and potentially strongest unit in the game? If this video gets 5000 likes I will do it
The lack of military equipment in the beginning of the game is a realistic description of available military equipment. In interviews with those who served, they stated their machine gun companies only had 2 MGs instead of the 8 they were supposed to have.
@@abbelsiiniEhhh... I'd personally say that Asia really lacks attention rn. The Muslim countries, beyond Turkey, are really empty beyond formables. The Indian freedom movement doesn't include the pro-Axis faction that fought under the Japanese and even had an Indian SS Battalion, which could be really fun in ahistorical games.
Stakyi, the "Swedish O", or Å is pronounced more like an O, which is why we call it the "Swedish O" in Finland. So Skåne is not pronounced like Skane, but closer to Skone. The English way of pronouncing it is still going to be wrong, but it will at least be closer than Skane. Similarily in Swedish Ä is pronounced closer to the letter E in English.
Haha it was painful as a Finnish-Swede hearing that pronunciation. When he said tried to pronounce "Radiotjänst" as "Radiojanest" I knew what to expect
@@Caldera01 Sorry, auto assumed you did because it's in english (but not used much except for describing sounds) and makes an 'eh' sound like the canadian stereotype. When combined with a, it makes an aeh sound, like ae-roplane. On the right note, I now realise I I was trying to refer to é, which makes an 'aye' sound like in café. Basically, would mixing o and aye make oo, ou, oh, etc? I'm not good with combining syllables and accurately thinking up what it'd sound like, and you're obviously quite the polyglot if I do say so myself, and might know.
25:15 I'm really surprised you didn't just try to make a formable. Sweden has a few Nordic Formables one of which is the Kalmar union from owning all of the North.
@@JahJah-CleverHandle *"WITH THE LORD MY PROTECTOR, MAKE THEM BOW TO MY WILL! TO THE SKIES, SEE CAROLUS RISE!"* (Let's see everyone join in on the fun)
Can't wait to see people try to abuse this system with finding out exact equipment AI needs per country and year, finding out what tank and plane models are best investement for sales and if buying up old equipment, converting it with your designer and selling it back can give you a profit.
I Love that Raoul Wallenberg is a pretty important part of the swedish government intelligence, he was a really interesting and his kidnapping only makes him more interesting!!
21:11 i hate to say this but there is a pun in the description of "The Cross We Bear" in the end it says "so we can live and die in the north" The swedish national anthem ends with "Ja jag vill leva jag vill dö i norden" wich means "yes i want to live and die in the north"
Folkhemmet: Folk-Hem-Et. You silence the H. Dont, its two words. Folk = People, Hem = Home. So its Peoples Home, roughly translated. Furthermore, here goes the quirky ÅÄÖ Å sounds like the O in Gore. Ä sounds like the A in Damned Ö sounds like the U in Murder. From Sweden with Love - Kami Edit: Skåne, not Skane. SkÅne (remember, Å like O in Gore) Radiotjänst. The Tj makes a Tsh-sound. Radio(That part you got right) Tjänst (Tsh-änst, and remember, Ä as A in Damned) Västerbotten, Väster (Ä as in A in Damned) Botten. If you see a double vowel, it shortens the previous letter, So Botten have a very short O sound BoTTEN (you will hate me after this comment, wont you?) Gå-På. Remember, Å as in O in Gore. Gå På (Means Walk On) Jägartrupper. Jägar Trupper. Ä as in A in damned, and the swedish A sounds like the A in Marble.
A M00se once bit my sister … No realli! She was Karving her initials on the m00se with the sharpened end of an interspace t00thbrush given by Svenge - her brother-in-law - an Oslo dentist and star of many Norwegian m0vies: “The H0t Hands of an Oslo Dentist”, “Fillings of Passion”, “The Huge M0lars of Horst Nordfink”. Mynd you, m00se bites Kan be pretty nasti
Stakuyi be like "Trading ball barings? Doesn't seem good for me in SP" Also Stakuyi "I'm out of manpower! I'm trying my best" Shoulda traded those ball bearings for that sweet sweet ticking weekly manpower
"Folkhemmet" is basically a way to explain the relationship between the people and their government, and about how - historically - the government has earned the people's trust by having a high degree of transparency. I think it is somewhat realistic of a depiction of this concept in the game, because people were very loyal to this idea, and still are, and the effects of a unified, coordinated society should not be underestimated on a macro scale. When covid struck, sweden responded to it by informing their citizens how best they can proceed, for the good of all in "folkhemmet", and they did this with *recommendations* rather than restrictions. Another example is how the government recently sent out a brochure that explains what to do and not to do in times of crisis and war, and recommending precautions to be taken right now, like storing water and food safely for long periods, and how to produce electricity off-grid. In any other country, these things would be ignored by the majority, until something forced them to deal with it, thus making the government innefficient at coordinating civilian society, in times of crisis, and there would be a great need of propaganda and nationalism, in order for people not to just flee the country. Today, the "spirit" of "folkhemmet" is losing ground, mainly due to immigrants who don't understand scandinavian cultures, but also due to the reactionary forces immigration created, which are opposed to many social-democratic ideas. However, even with the most right-leaning liberals, folkhemmet remains an entrenched idea, and it is likely to remain so for a long time to come - even if we had a fascist coup tomorrow. For better or worse, it is a key component of swedish society and mentality.
Sounds geeky I know but the High Purity of the Minerals in Sweden plus the abundant Forests for Charcoal gives them a big advantage and choice of Allies. Edit. Even IRL.
This is video 40 of asking Stakuyi to play Equestria at War again, either as Equestria with “Twilight Theory” turned on in custom game rules, or as the glorious Lord Protector Ferdinand Dawnclaw of the Griffonian Empire.
i wonder what other words mean at the same time? just givin you some shit. no hate also this dlc seems a sov/germ nerf as much as it seems a scand buff..thoughts
Sleep who is that I’m too annoying to sleep my window got jfked by a few rock / eggs so ima just watch this Edit found a 11 hour long full course on quantum physics/ mechanics it’s kinda vague might watch it
Hoi/paradox should really add in translation for a lot of stuff like the Folkhemmet there should be a brackets () next to it whit game setting set languish (same for units). example Folkhemmet should be Folkhemmet (the people's home). same whit units Because I see people go what the heck is this not understanding what it means (usually a case and still whit garrisons troops that before was regular troops but now no longer is but garrisons as a unit still exist for many nations as a secondary unit. also I ran whit Ebba Mar... in my cabinet because I read that she can get another massive research boost. you can form the Scandinavian leage even as democratic (there the whole bit on the right).
