Sweet 16 Interactive Card Trick 

Australian shuffle.. I got it, down under.. :D

Last year valentines I performed one of your tricks for my girlfriend which she still hasn't cracked, ever since then I've been showing her loads of tricks and she loves them nearly as much as she does me. It's something we love doing together and I just want to say thank you for teaching them to me :]

Big fan of your site. I really enjoyed learning this trick. A variation that I have added to it is if you give the spectator 15 cards instead of 16 you can start the "down, under" dealing with a down card first and when they have finished dealing out all the cards you can just add a face up card to the top of the pile (I prefer the joker) then allow them to cut the deck as much as they want and the trick still works.

I attempted your trick with 8 and 4 cards as well. It works exactly the same. My grand daughter 4 year old enjoys playing the trick with her friends with 4 cards. Truly Sweet 4 trick for her!!

Great Trick, it works every time, I looked into it further. The Bottom Card (Cb) somehow should be at the 8th position from the bottom of the deck. So you can do Australian shuffle, until that card comes at the 8th. Then you don't have to do Australian Shuffle Further, because, somehow, you have that Cb at 9th position from the top. After Shuffling Top Card becomes the helper card (Ch). So whatever the cuts you make doesn't matter as positions of both Cb and Ch become either Even or Odd, so that those two cards are dealt down to the same pile... For First Cut, X=Number of Cards Cut to the Top (1,2,3,4,5,6......15) P.Cb = Position of the Bottom Card from top after the Cut P.Ch = Position of the Helper Card from the top after the Cut If X>7 Then P.Cb = X-7 P.Ch = X+1 (X=7 means that the Position of Bottom Card is at 16th) If X
