As a gamer, I have already black listed DEI games and Activist 'gaming' websites. If gamers do this in a large number they will go bankrupt. Game developers and websites need gamers far more than we need them.

As a Chief Human Resources Officer in a large healthcare organization, I simply want to say that my HR department does not treat people differently based on their inherent characteristics (which is illegal, BTW). I have also explained to them that my interpretation of "DEI" is "Diversity, Equality & Inclusion". Diversity = different backgrounds, experience, skillsets, etc. Equality = everyone gets an equal opportunity based on merit and nothing else, Inclusion = we celebrate groups that everyone can be a part of regardless of inherent characteristics. This means "Doctors' Week" or "Nurses' Week", etc. Anytime you celebrate a group based on skin color, lifestyle choices, gender, etc....you are automatically EXCLUDING everyone else. That is not inclusion...that's exclusion.

The thing it is very easy to tell if a game is pushing an agenda no matter if they are involved with SBI or if they call their practices BRIDGE or DEI. Are these companies actually using the ESG funding as their actual paycheck, firing employees, and fluffing up the pricing reports for what these games cost, and allowing the game studio crash to move on to the next one? Its a similar strategy that Chinese vompany Tencent uses. They buy a company, wring every dollar out of it, then move on. Look at how bungie is falling apart, and there are some reports saying the higher ups there are getting ready to bail. Sell off all their shares and move on to another company. It makes me wonder if many of these gaming conpanies are coming to the end of their life cycles prematurely. Snag every bit of funding and investment you can, firing off a bunch of staff, hiring new staff for cheaper if you MUST, then make the game for as little as possible. Repeat process until studio dies, buy another studio with good IPs. Do it again

Its criminal you didint mention the woman who made most of Fromsofts songs in games like DS3. Yuka Kitamura is honestly the best Composer on this planet and its not even close in my opinion. Yoko Shimomura also did the Street Fighter II soundtrack. Yes, "Guile's theme goes with anything" was written by her. Not too mention all the other character themes that have been a milestone in the industry for decades. Definitely on the same level as Nobuo Uematsu.
Honestly the easiest way to address this is to get those in the industry to slowly out woke them. A hard correction will be fought tooth and nail. A slow progression is how you move things forward to get buy in. The situation calls not for a correction back to better days but to push them down the path they have set for the industry that becomes unmanageable for them. We are fast approaching a point where the question: “Why should game developers care what game journalists think?” Are the gamers looking to journalists to get gaming information to decide where to spend? If all they do is insult gamers and take a strong polarized viewpoint that does not align with the majority of gamers’ views, why would they? Are they getting more site traffic than RU-vidrs? No. Are game developers dependent on game journalists for sales? No, and if it is an influencer they are quickly becoming irrelevant as more avenues arise to reach their targeted buyers. Any company that does not provide a positive benefit to their stakeholders will fail. Why wouldn’t it? Who are game journalists actually serving? If the predominant point of view is not balanced, does not represent their targeted audience, has a diminishing viewership, and is not respected - why does their opinion matter?

A little site known as Kiwi Farms has been hounded by sex-pests with connections in the industry, unable to secure DDoS protection and being driven from clearnet altogether It's an insane story, look it up. I was shocked to find out how corrupt and incestuous the whole thing is.
