I loved the moment in this when Frank found himself flanked by Florence and Marilyn and that cheeky grin suddenly appeared on his face. You could see he was thinkin ( hey I'm in a good place here) lol

On this day in 1968 {November 25th} the 5th Dimension, accompanied by Mr. Sinatra, performed "Sweet Blindless" on the Chairman of Board's TV special 'Francis Albert Sinatra Does His Thing'... At the time the song was at #33 on Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; eight days later on December 3rd it would peak at #13 {for 2 weeks} and it stayed on the chart for 10 weeks... Original group member Ron Townson passed away on August 2nd, 2001 at the age of 68 and Mr. Sinatra left us on May 14th, 1998 at age 82... May they both R.I.P.

People hinting at some interst in Flo, by Sinatra. I don't see it. If anything he gravitated to Marilyn in the video, then Florence grabs him by the arm to pull him away near the end. I also found photos of him with the group in which everyone was looking at the camera, but he was looking only at Marilyn. Overall he preferred tall women. His 4th wife Barbara, 5'7, and women he dated... lauren bacall 5'9, Juliet Prowse 5'11, Ava Gardner 5/7. Anyway everyone's having a good time on here..

The song is written and originally recorded by the incomparably great Laura Nyro (d. 1997), the favourite songwriter and major influence of so many, such as Elton John, Prince, Alice Cooper, Todd Rundgren, Elvis Costello, Paul Schaffer. Numerous artists have covered her songs: eg Blood Sweat and Tears, Fifth Dimension, Three Dog Night, Streisand, among also tribute albums, the last one being by Billy Childs in 2014. Her 2nd album, the masterpiece Eli and the Thirteenth Confession (1968), is the 'desert island' album of choice for many 'stars'. She was inducted into the Rock Hall of Fame at the 2012 Grammy's by Bette Midler. Do yourself a favour and check her albums out, it will enhance your life substantially.

It's the same as when Eric Clapton jammed with Johnny Cash; and, when Frank Sinatra sang with Bono. It's an honor and a compliment for BOTH that the other accepted them as someone great enough to sing/play with. Just put on a smile and enjoy it :) ...or, be a troll and go to the next video! :(

Dad got us in to see the VIP premier show of Frank Sinatra & The Fifth Dimension, as the waiter brought in a special table and chairs from backstage it felt like I was in the movie Good Fellows, after the show Frank and his entourage sat a few feet from us in the coffee shop. It was 1969 and the movie THE MUMMY AND THE CURSE OF THE JACKALS (a mob backed horror Si-Fi movie) was about to premiere in Los Angeles California with the hope and prayer that they could find completion funds to be able to finish the movie. Using a Super 8 camera, the mob staff and crew as extras they were forced to stop filming when the feds came knockin' at the door. The movie Casino only depicted the story about the Stardust hotel however there were at least 5 other major hotels that were also involved in the skim including the Democrat political party and a local business that made possible the collection and payoffs of large amounts of cash dally. Like the actor Joe Pesci said in the movie Casino "There's a lota holes in the desert" This would make a great movie based on my eyewitness account about the this mob backed low budget Si-Fi movie. This information has been kept secret since 1969 where I lived the movie Casino for real-Magnetron.
