This movie never gets old. Sweet Dreams is my favorite and when she performed it with the orchestra Jessica was so beautiful. Glad they used the original Patsy Cline soundtrack. I couldn’t tell that Jessica was lip sinking she made it look so real. For Patsy, I wished there were a yellow rose emoji: 🌼
I love Dolly but think Patsy was the best female country singer ever. She died so tragically. I try to imagine her life if born later and made better men choices. ❤😢
Joan Baez, Judy Collins, leontyne price, so much beautiful and talented ♀️🧬🎵 my sweet sister and my mommy and my grandma and me singing together 💞 the best time.
I'm surprised they didn't make a reference to Loretta Lynn in this movie. In Coal Miner's Daughter, they portrayed the close friendship the two singers had.
Growing up as a child I was introduced to a genre of music collected by my father who enjoyed country, soul, jazz, hawaiian, Blues, pop music, etcetera. It was through his music that I learned of Patsy Cline, Ray charles, Aretha franklin, the Everly brothers, Hank williams, Andy Williams all just to name a few I used to love playing his albums. Thank you Daddy for this❤
I stood on the Grand Ole Opry stage before they remodeled the Ryman Auditorium and I thought about Patsy Cline, Cowboys Copus, and Hawkshaw Hawkins. This movie always makes me cry. I wish they could have lived longer to watch thier children grow up. That breaks my heart. 😢💔 They left us with some beautiful songs though. We won't ever forget them and we'll always love them. ❤❤❤❤❤
I sang on the Opera stage 1996 it was the best memory I’ll cherish forever 💗🥰🙏🏻Auditioning for Always Patsy Cline. I didn’t get 1st but came in 2nd in case so I got to see the show show and sing 🎶 I met Charlie and a lot of kind loving friends fans singers musicians etc God bless everybody much love 💕 I love This movie 💓🥰thanks for sharing. 💕
I watched this movie dozens of times as a kid in the 80s and 90s as we had this on vhs! Thank you for posting! Continue resting in paradise Patsy Cline! 💖🌷🦋🌈🙏💖🌷🦋🌈🙏
Really? I guess people my age who were really into music just grew up knowing these things, Willie's written alot of songs others made a hit out of, there are so many "Hits" that the artist singing didn't write....always check the words & music by....credits
Beautiful Patsy Cline! We grew up listening to her on the radio! My mother would sing her songs while she was ironing! Patsy was a big part of our lives!🎉❤we will always remember her,Thank you for this great documentary!❤❤
Her manager changed her life overnight! He had a great vision for the style songs that were better suited for Patsy! So sad they all lost their lives that day after their charity trip! The cast was perfect for Sweet Dreams!
Bopper, Big Bopper, a DJ for hit radio normally but had a hit with Chantilly Lace, was on this tour and as a result the fated flight, they were on a tour called Winter Dance Party and Waylon Jennings came very close to being on that plane, the big bopper's name was JP Richardson....
The punctuation in this comment makes it read as absolute word 🤢 vomit, grammatical garbage, wtf is wrong with people today? One period in the wrong place and you have complete nonsense
Except in real life, they didn't fly into the side of a mountain, the real plane crash was probably a lot less dramatic than the made-up version they put in this movie. even though everyone died either way.
i was too young to appreciate her vice when she was alive. now i listen to every note 'her way' & she puts so much into a song that ya don't expect & can't copy.,,, i knew a young girl like that in the 70's. man, could she sing!!! good ole charlie thought he could have patsy & whoever else he wanted but was jealous of her dancing with anyone else as he walks in with some other bimbo!!!!!! isn't that just the way some ppl think? & mamma was right-- if a man hits you once it's easy ro hit you again! don't buy his promises. he could kill you next time, BUT--- don't ever hit a man thinking he doesn't have the right to hit you back!!! some of them firmly believe that they do. .....show respect if you want to be respected. a smart mouth will not catch honey. hm... just see in the credits that the music playback was by Bose-- no wonder it sounds so clear & good! you do know that they didn't hit a rock wall.... they crashed in the trees. i just wonder how close to factual this could possibly be. i suppose they could've gotten a fair rundown from charlie.
Hell, as an abused woman time and time again I tell myself not to watch this, yet here I am screaming run patsy run all the while It stresses me out so much and angers me so much!
The story of the plane crash was sad. If they had only waited 1 more day. Also found out that the pilot had no instrument training. Only visual. Not good in stormy weather.
Ugh, marriage just mean that a man can say I love you but all he wants is someone to take care of him, that he doesn't have to worry about anything, not even his next beer. And ya, 65 years old and seen it all! Never was a lesbian but I sure understand why they hate men.
Jessica played the lead part of patsy cline really well, this movie was excellently cast, very strong casting, everyone carried the weight they needed to make this film a success and hit....
