She is amazing. Nobody can hold a candle to Patsy, but Beverly is the best. When I found out that she was actually singing this, I was beyond impressed.

We all know that there was and always will be one Patsy Cline. Listening to Beverly D'Angelo's renditions of these two songs is like listening to a wonderful facsimile that keeps Patsy Cline's memory alive and reminds us how special she was and what a special gift she had. If you close your eyes for a split second you can almost hear Patsy coming through. I believe a lot of people didn't care for Beverly's singing and probably would have preferred her to lip sync but I think her performance adds a sense of realism to the story. Just like Cissy Spacek, I think her vocals are amazing. I love this movie! RIP Patsy.

I am seriously amazed at how similar Beverly D'Angelo's voice is to Patsy Cline's. I played this video and a recording of Patsy Cline. I let one go on for a few seconds then paused and played the other. I gotta say, Beverly D'Angelo did a fantastic job of her performance as Patsy Cline. Beverly's voice is golden. She's really an amazing actress and entertainer.

How did she not win the Supporting Actress Oscar for this????

It is almost impossible to duplicate the incredible voice of the great Patsy Cline, however Beverly Dangelo comes the closest in Coal Miners Daughter...The only true worthy tribute I have ever heard...Im sure Patsy would approve...There will never be another like Patsy Cline...R.I.P

I was too young to know the name Patsy Cline but when I heard those violins and then Beverly started to sing, I got goosebumps and realized that I did know her. Didn't know her name, but I knew I'd heard her song. I've thrilled to her music ever since. This film allowed me to find her, and I'm grateful. Sissy and Beverly were amazing in this. Tommy Lee Jones, as well.

It is this version of Sweet Dreams that started me on a life long love affair with the music of Patsy Cline!

I like her as an actress but how did she NOT become a huge singer after this movie?? I first realized she could sing when she did the sexy song in European Vacation. But man, she's amazing!

God Beverly has so much emotion in this. So beautiful. She never got enough props for this role and singing. You really connected to her part in CMD to where I cried at the part of the plane crash. She was so believable. She really puts her heart into it.

Everytime I see coal miner's daughter and the last scene between Loretta and patsy breaks my heart Everytime ! lots of people are unknown when they portray a celeb that's how they get discovered .Jessica was horrible especially those nasty pants , Beverly D'Angelo was perfect as Patsy .

I'll never know why they didn't have her play Patsy in her bio movie.

I love Beverly D'Angelo, and applaud the decision to sing the songs herself. She's got a good voice, but somehow her Patsy comes off a little whiney, and imitation-ish, and I'm not a fan of that. If the performance weren't supposed to be AS PATSY, I'd be okay with it.
