These guys were just the most fun and enjoyable band of the 1970's......Brian Connolly had the voice, the demeanor and the charisma that set them apart from all the other bands at the time.....I am glad that I was part of their music...."Fox on the Run" was one of the first 45's I ever purchased. They had the fun, rebel rock thing down...

Definitely, and under rated . I met Brian Connollys son about 5 years ago, he was working as an entertainer in a warners holiday place, and he was very good, had a good chat with him, from memory he was early 20s and I think he said his dad died when he was about 5

I was 17 riding around on my little honda sl 125 summer of 75 ....life was so much better then...no phones. No viruses....we went to San Diego and camped on the beach drank Coors all night smoked some numbers and banging some chick we had meet the day before about 2 am and this was playing on the radio...I think her name was Lori been so long ago....I still remember you from 45 years ago....I wonder if she is still alive etc....

1976 waiting on my girlfriend in the student parking lot to take her home from school, here she comes running out of the school towards my car and this came on the radio. She opens the door of my 68 GTO and i said babes its you fox on the run. Scored big time points with that. Haven't thought of that in 47yrs. Until I heard this song. Wonder if she hears this song and if it doesn't bring back that moment in time for her. Haven't heard anything about her in 40yrs... songs can do that Thank you to whoever posted Sweet.

This is simply out of this world, the Sweet at their very peak. Everything about this screams pure class. For special mention, I would draw attention to Steve Priest's short but telling vocal contribution and the brilliant, succinct guitar solo from foxy Andy. The drumming, the bass playing, Brian's lead.......wow, let's hope the fox never gets caught! 👌 👏🏿

Yep, this was one of my anthems when I was 14 growing up in Southern California (Orange County). Listened to it first on KKDJ and later KLOS/KMET. The 70's were special in many ways. I have it on my biking playlist to this day.

All early Queen albums proudly stated that no synthesisers were used. they dropped their rule for the Game. Just been reading that the reason they put it on the sleeve was down to a critic who praised their use on Queen 1. Brian apparently was unhappy as he spent hours to produce the sound on his guitar

I remember when calling a girl a “Fox” was the ultimate compliment...it was the “in” word and this song epitomized the word....”Fox on the Run” on AM radio in the 70s ....we lived and loved it. I was 10 yrs old and just discovering the Foxes....and getting my heart broken along the way.

I saw Sweet in concert back on June 4, 1978 in Providence, Rhode Island when I was 16 years old! Sweet was one band in a line up of 6 rock bands to perform on that day! Ticket price for the general admision show was $20.00 for a 12 hour show that also included the rock bands Foghat, Foreigner, Nazareth, The Atlanta Rhythm Section, and Rainbow (Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow)! Simply spectacular show, and the 1970s was an simply great time to be a teenaged rock and roll music fan! And as for Sweet, they were totally Sweet!
