Sweet Kulcha Recipe | Hazara K Special Meethay Kulchay | How to make Kulchay in Oven | Kulcha Khatai
Here's a simple and delicious sweet kulcha recipe:
Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour (maida)
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup warm milk
1/4 cup ghee or butter (melted)
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
2 tablespoons chopped nuts (optional)
A pinch of salt
Instructions:
Prepare the Dough:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, powdered sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cardamom powder, and salt.
Add the oil and warm milk to the dry ingredients and mix well.
Gradually add the melted ghee or butter and knead the mixture into a soft dough. If the dough is too dry, you can add a little more milk.
Rest the Dough:
Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for about 1-2 hours.
Shape the Kulchas:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Divide the dough into small balls and flatten each ball slightly to form round, flat kulchas.
Place the flattened kulchas on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Optionally, sprinkle chopped nuts on top of each kulcha and press them gently into the dough.
Bake:
Bake the kulchas in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
Once baked, remove the kulchas from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack.
Serve:
Serve the sweet kulchas warm or at room temperature. They make a delightful treat with tea or coffee.
