This song will have you in your feelings and will have you thinking hard . They don’t make music like this anymore but this will forever be my jam . Yes being in love ain’t easy
Maaaan, I played this cassette til it broke, bought another and did the same! This woman’s voice is everything! So much emotion! Damn! Please make another song like this🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Stop saying Prince wrote this song! He DID NOT write this song at all!! My mother is the lead singer, her parents wrote this song!! Thank you very much!
This is the stuff....PERIOD...It kinda sounds like a Prince tune. But these three ladies have voices of angels. The words and music are so perfect together. This one goes in my category of I could listen to this over and over and never get tired of it. Like Jimi Hendrix said,,This song goes into my soul instead of just my ears...........
Hadn't listened to this in years and immediately thought of The Beautiful Ones. When this came out and I was about 13 I remember being in my older sister's car and we arrived home. I asked her if i could stay in the car until it was over. I couldn't leave until the song ended. I had just REALLY got into Prince, and it had the same vibe.😊
These ladies are telling it like it is being in love ain't easy. If you got the right woman that puts it down. Hell you can't do nothing but think about this.
This is the true definition of a soulful song! You know it is when the singers feel it including the background. Listen to the end when they say "sing girl." Truly powerful.
This song is amazing. "I gave it all up to you!" at the end still brings back chills. They sang this on Showtime at the Apollo and homegirl was sweatin' and blowin' the fu** out of this song. Amazing!!! This needs to be put onto an mp3 or sump'in! Thanks DJ Cognitiv!
Prince did not write this! The singers, which are my nieces Keena Klmmala, and Michelle wrote all their own lyrics and music! Their Mother and Father who produced their albums. ❤
i had this cassette single and i played it over and over again, i love this song, i was in middle school those where good times, if i had a time machine
I had to be 11 yrs old when this hit .my Family use to sing this ..Charlotte N.C. was lit bk then Earle Village ......man i miss N.Myers st & 623 N.Alexander st ......every occasion we all singing this song ..
Prince produced the group so that is why the song sounds so much like The Beautiful Ones, his song.. Prince is a genius so if he wants to reinvent one of his own songs for someone else, he can do it..... and he has done it before...
Prince did not Produce this group. Chad and Howard King from Hush productions produced this whole album. This sound is captured on Chad's solo project- Love's Passion and You. Look it up and have a listen.
Nope. Not according to the credits: *Written by: B. Green*, V. L. Green* *Produced By: Howard King & CHAD* Them doing an interpolation of The Beautiful Ones, that would grant him a co-writer credit at best.
I remember these so under rated sisters. They all cld sing , however the lead could shut any one today down quickly. I saw them perform live and she sang /sings like Jennifer Holiday, Lisa Fisher, Stephenie Mills !! I remember the late great Gerald Levert, writing and producing for them. another awesome song "good woman looking for a good man"
The music track in the background is the music from the beautiful ones by Prince Prince did not write these lyrics lyrics but it's definitely his music
When your heart knows good music, when it's in your soul you can't live without it. Good music that speaks VOLUME is hard too find. Omg I am young and I love old music
MY AUNT SUSANNA LOVED THIS SONG SHE PLAYED IT SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE TURNING IT OFF AND HERE IAM 31 YEARS LATER LISTENING TO IT THINKING BOUT HER I LOVE HER AND MISS HER DEARLY REST EASY AUNT SUSANNA IM PLAY IT IN YOUR MEMORY
this was is an awesome album was goin thru some of my old boxes an came across this in a box with some other old school albums. so i went back in the day played them ALL.... i laughed , cried but had a good time.... music really does soothe the heart soul and mind
No one remembers this group. Three sisters Black and Asian. 86- 7 🤷🏿♂️ mom rocked this. I think Michael trained them or produced them or something. That lead sister had a very powerful incredible voice
Drew love: This was one of my favorite tunes of that time and now I can really relate to the words of this song. It has been so long since I have heard or listened to it.
Played this song so much. I was in the 5th grade crushing on a girl name Temeka. She did not know I existed. It was so hard watching her go for the cool guy. But this song helped a lot.
