1 tbs molasses

2 cups mashed sweet potatoes
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup butter flavored shortening (melted)
2 cups buttermilk
4 eggs
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 tbs molasses
1 tbs vanilla extract
1 tbs cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp salt
*to make sweet potatoes, wash and peel 2-3 sweet potatoes. Dice them into cubes and add into boiling salted water and cook until tender. In a bowl, blend or mash them and let cool!
