"You can weigh and measure individually... but if you're going to eat all the meals by the end of the week it isn't going to make a difference" This is common sense, yet it completely blew my mind. Meal prep is fascinating when you're used to thinking and planning one meal at a time. Watching an entire jar of salsa split up into little containers was pretty cool too. I never really thought about how far a jar of salsa actually goes.
These are really good! I modified mine by including jalapenos and sliced white mushrooms. I really like how balanced this recipe is for protein, carbs, and fat. Keep up the great work!
this is a bomb recepie i used roasted regular potatoes instead and added alot more shredded veggies on a box grater like carrot and zuchinni and add choped spinach to it and sautee that all its now a meal i eat twice a week
Thank u thank Josh I just recently came upon ur channel ive try to simplify my meal prepping including my breakfast we all appreciate ur wealth of knowledge continue to do what ure doing so we can learn even more I will certainly pass this along with ur website amongst friends an Family to get healthier day by day thank u very much An May God Bless u an urs
If you make this with ground beef, I highly suggest adding light sour cream on top of the meal. This will add more calories but makes it so much better. Imo.
Just found your channel and subbed. Have you thought of making a meal prep book? You should. Recipes look fairly straight forward and tasty. I love to eat healthy, but hate spending half my day cooking.
I am just curious. Has anyone tried to freeze some boxes and how well does it reheat after being frozen? Looking at the ingredients I’m sure I can cut it in half make only 5 boxes. Just need a week unless it does well with frozen.
Great video...just a quick question... are you using sweet potatoes or yams. Sweet potatoes are usually whitish inside and yours are quite orange, like yams...just curious...Thanks!
Homie is the salt of the earth meal prep king… Basically dumped my pre-made local prep lady and just following your recipes.. she got lazy and started to cut corners
I can’t stand when you watch a recipe with all the b roll and then 10 minute stories of why this meal is good. I don’t need a 5 minute how to video to be 20 min long lol your videos are straight to the point and I love that when I’m about to make a grocery list.
I just made this today. For my boyfriend and me. I made his using the amount for 10 containers. And went to your site to get the adjustments for only 5 container. (Which btw is SO FREAKING HELPFUL) It’s came out better than expected on flavor wise. Of course I had to add a little extra seasoning when cooking the meat. And the onions and peppers though. But overall I really like this idea. It’s easy and quick (once you get passed the chopping lol). I’m using a classic hummus spread to go on top of it. Instead of the salsa. Will definitely make again
I love how most of the meals are recipes I already use, I've always Ioves cooking but I need to be more consistent with my food to get back on track. I love how simple you make it seem simple and not over explain or complicate it. I'm definitely using these measurements from now on. Question, do you eat 3 of these a day (or 3 meals of the same macros) and a couple snacks?
This guy is a life and budget saver. Found this channel out of random a few days ago and decided to start meal prepping after realizing I spend way too much money eating out and eat too much premade garbage. Def recommend his breakfast oatmeal bakes!
I love how easy you make the recipe directions and how when you are doing something "improper" you address it and give the "proper" alternative! Going to try this recipe for my first ever solo Thanksgiving later this month. Thank you!
Made this for my wife and I since I'm on a cut right now and she loved it. Made a crazy amount of food, was super filling and tasty, and was a great fit for my macros. She asked for it again this week too!
This guy legit only had 9.9K subbies a few weeks ago. Now he's up to 87.3K subbies! Well deserved growth that's for sure! One of the best MP channels on here.
Josh, thanks for making these easy to follow and actually delicious meal prep guides. I appreciate your visuals, your cadence, your nonjudgemental attitude and your approach to these videos. I have tried a few of the recipes and have generally loved them. But please for goodness sake...GET A BIGGER POT BRO!!! #CommentForTheAlgo
I made this last night (half the size, so only 5 meals). I used extra lean ground beef, since it was on sale. Similar macros. I had the first for lunch today, and it was very hearty and savory. I forgot to top it with the salsa, but it tasted fine anyway. I will definitely make it again.
0:18 - So, I just now learned that I've been dicing things incorrectly this whole time. I never thought to only cut through the onion part way lengthwise so that it didn't fall everywhere when cutting it widthwise. Thank you!
This is excellent content. I just made it to prep for the fam’s week ahead, and halved the recipe since I only had one lb of turkey, but had 1lb of chorizo sitting there, so I mixed both and it came out tasting like chile relleno. The chorizo was only under $2 lb and the best part is the low-calorie content at 195 calories per serving of both types of meat combined. This has now become a favorite and a staple and I’m sure to make it again. Thank you so much for the great content, far better than anything else on social media, as you are proof that these vids can be made to be educational, but still short and concise! 🙌
I know this video is a little dated, not sure if you'll see this one. Any recommendations on a substitute for the salsa? I HATE salsa, can't stand it. Not really sure what else I'd use to replace it though.
Out of all the recipes I've tried from you, this one was definitely my favorite. I'm thinking about adding some beans to it for some added protein. But this was amazing.
Agree with the comments below. 👏 im so glad I found you, no bs you get right to the point. These recipes look amazing , I can't wait to try them. Thank you :)
I've cooked with poblano's many times, but I always char the outside and remove it before chopping them up. My Hispanic friends do it this way and It gets rid of the waxiness, but I'm mot sure of the calorie change
Hello. Thanks for your work from south west of france. I am begining a 4 month diet and sport routine so i will follow your recipe it s clear. Easy. And good. Just a question where can i find your metal sauce recipient?
Just made this using 2lbs of ground bison. Didn't quite make enough for 5 meals so I'll make sure to increase it to 4lbs like you used next time, and add more veggies also.
I'm not sure if you answered this but what size bowl did you use in the video where you mentioned using a bigger one to cook everything in? The time is about 2:46. Thank you in advance and loved the video!
