Sweet Valley High... is an American sitcom that aired for 4 seasons. It featured a dysfunctional family living in a fictional Chicago suburb. The show, notable for being the first prime-time television series to air on Fox, ran from April 5, 1987, to June 9, 1997. It was created by Michael G. Moye and Ron Leavitt. The show was known for handling nonstandard topics for the time period, which garnered the then-fledgling Fox network a standing among the Big Three television networks.

they might as well just take the black girl out of the opening credits back in the day, cuz she is barely in the show. same with manny and bruce, but even they get more to do and say than her. as for the asian guy, lol i totally forgot they brought him into the show. he only lasted for a few eps and him and the black girl were never heard from again or even mentioned to what happen to them in later seasons.

She was prob a bad actress.... Sometimes these "newcomers" for SABAN Productions come from modeling backgrounds and can't deliver lines.... So instead of trying to pull lines out of her, they reduced her role..... Cause they did bring a new African American girl for subsequent seasons.... That character had more lines....

Party was a secondary character in the books would randomly crop up much like Manny but were obviously brought in the show as token characters. In terms of acting they were all pretty bad but Amaryllis who played Patty was pretty diabolical. She looked pretty though so was useful as a background character!

If you seen one Sweet Valley High Episode you've seen them all. This is the most repetitive live-action series/show ive ever seen. Episode title for the entire season 1 = "Jessica get Jealous and gets everyone else into trouble then they get revenge". Smh.. #IWantTheRestOfThe90sback

Somehow this was a common thing in the 90s. Murder She wrote did an episode about a Japanese assassin and they used all this far east mystical type music. I'm chosing to blame Kung Fu, the Legend Continues for this trope.
