Thanks for watching. No, didn’t need it. This recipe called for me to measure the flour then sift and measure again. Once air has been incorporated to the flour, it increased the volume so I had some left. It made for a less dense crumb. 😊

Typically you add the same amount of sugar as your flour... she used 3 1/2 cups of flour and only 2 1/2 cups sugar, so the recipe has already been altered for the sweetness of the condensed milk

Just made this. I think it will turn out beautiful , however I did have to do wiping a lot. How do you keep the batter from flying all over when mixing????
Hello. My go to pound cake is sour cream but I always wonder the texture differences with other pound cakes. Would you say the texture of this recipe is much different?
This cake’s texture was not as dense as a sour cream or cream cheese pound cake. It was a little lighter. It was just as delicious though. ☺️Thanks for watching.
Any flavor should work. I have used both vanilla and almond at different times. Both were delicious. I prefer almond. Lemon may actually be an option too. Thanks for watching!❤️

I generally use the Walmart brand of regular all purpose flour. This recipe did not call for cake flour so I just used all purpose flour. Thanks for watching!❤
That’s a good question…the recipe requires two sets of measurements of the flour. The first is to measure 3 1/2 cups of flour to be sifted THEN once sifted I had to measure the same amount to add to the batter. Once flour has been sifted, air has been incorporated and it measures differently. So, I didn’t need the extra flour that had been measured at first. It would make my cake too dense and dry. I hope that makes sense..💕☺️

Was your oven hot enough? Sometimes a cake will fall if the oven temperature is not maintained. I’ve opened mine one time too many and it lowered my oven temperature enough to make the cake fall. 😭
Tried your cake and it was so good it was gone in one day. All five of us, myself and friends 😂 . Yes it's obvious your towel is gray not dirty 😂 it's all good.
