This is nice! And I've got a bit another task: instead of spiral spline I need to draw custom spline (path). But solid says that it cant be projected unclosed curves. The question is: how to project to cylinder an unclosed curve?

For that you create a 3d curved from the curves menu on the surface of the cylinder and do a pattern on path.

Hello, thank you for this tutorial. It worked for a simple cylinder for me. But when i tried a more complex model (like a glass jar), it didn't work! When i tried to clic on the revolving body, it says "Tool body must be convex and not merged with the main body". Any solution please?

when I give the spiral option it is not coming in this direction and it is formed in the opposite direction. anyone have any idea why this happened?

My laptop specifications are nice but i don't have any dedicated graphic card . Thats why my result is not attractive . That's why i get bored to practice on solidworks :(
