F23 knows the owls having been checking out her nest. Letting them know who’s nest it is, I imagine that even if we don’t see them the owls are there and aware F23 is too. Praying for the safety of all those in path of Milton and for those affected by Helene.
Thank you so much Androcat. I hope you and all loved ones are somewhere safe. I hope the storm will not be as destructive as it currently appears and there will be very minimal damage. I hope our beautiful F23 is not yet gravid. Can't stop thinking about all those who rebuilt or still rebuilding after Ian, and all those beautiful migratory birds who just arrived back to their winter grounds. It will be a very anxious few days; I wish we could just shoo away the strength of this storm. STAY SAFE
F23 doesn't want the owls stealing her log😂 I was also surprised she flew in the dark but she wants to keep their nest. Go to your safe place before the storm comes. ❤❤
Thank you for capturing these special moments in time, @Androcat. None of us know what the future holds, but I am so grateful for the blessing of watching M15, F23 and E23. Last year was my first year eagle/nest watching, and I have learned so much about eagles as a species. Their ability to adapt and overcome against extreme odds, gives me hope that no matter what may happen to the tree or nest, their bond will endure, and they will survive and continue to thrive. I am praying for all of you and will continue until this storm passes. 🙏 ❤(Are you guys under evacuation orders?)
WOW. I saw that on the cam very early this morning. Thanks for clarifying it was F23. Can’t think of why she would be coming to the nest in the dark. Worry about her flying around there at night. She’s full of surprises! Thank you Androcat 💜🦅💜
Thanks, Androcat, I checked in on the cams late and unexpectedly saw an eagle perched in the attic, but I was unsure about who it was in the dim light.💕🦅
Bravo F23! She's guarding her nest. She knows the owls are there. In the morning as F23's vocalizing, was that M15 that could be heard answering back? Or was it the birds around my house? 🤔I pray for everyone's safety as the hurricane approaches and hope it weakens considerably before it reaches land. 🙏
It is coming in in this area, but it should reduce in strength. They’re saying Cat 3 at landfall. Still strong. Praying our lovelies, and their nest will remain safe.❤
Unfortunately Fort Myers is seemingly in direct path. Very strong winds and storm surge pose threat. (Please also keep the Captiva nests in your thoughts, as well as CROW in Sanibel)
