Being 17 years in the business as a female driver...STAY do not go to an owner operator...If you are making consistent money and you are stable don't move...Also I like your commentary in the videos I just subbed. Your content is on point.
Go owner operator, DO NOT LEASE, buy from the dealership. Don’t let nobody kill your dreams. You can make money being a owner operator if you kno what you doin. Do you research.. but don’t let nobody stop you from dreaming an making it come true
@4everyoung869 yes you can make money as an owner operator, but currently the market Is bad for new owner operators, I think that's why the advice I'd to stay where you're at, until the market and rates get better, it's slow at warehouses right now, as a yard driver I see the struggle.
Stay at prime and do your thang until the right offer comes your way you got a good thing going right now and it’s not always greener on the other side. Stay safe and hold it down
Keep doing what you’re doing because god has many more blessings for you. You have a very older person soul and personality. Your parents did a wonderful job of raising you. You’re definitely giving out great wisdom and guidance about this trucking business 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
So So proud of you young lady ...you back up like a real pro..... when you drive with your Go Pro on your hear it feels like i am driving with you, nice
all I want from you is your positive attitude and that you remain safe @all times ,listen to all the organization that you take and do to make sure you have safe travels always ,oh yes!! and your smiling face .
I’ve been driving since 1968 and I’m still driving Interstate in Australia at 73 years of age. One of the biggest regrets that I have is always falling for that greener grass on the other side of the fence. Things didn’t work as well as if I didn’t look at that greener grass. Something like the Swift job would be more suited to an older driver, while you are still young enough to go a little harder on Prime. The greener grass is not always green, sometimes there is tinge of brown
Don’t chase the money it’ll come eventually as far as swift and the Walmart deal swift just got kicked outta Walmart down here in Brundidge, Alabama and from what they were telling us Walmart is trying to do away with outside carriers. So you probably made the best decision staying with Prime~the more experience you get more doors will open if you so choose to walk through one. Great content be safe young lady
Swift was a performance issue not a bid process that’s what we were told in orientation as to why Walmart was hiring so many drivers for the Brundidge DC
I AM NOT A TRUCKER BUT IF I WERE ONE I WOULD DO IT JUST LIKE YOU!!!...I LOVE THE WAY YOU THINK THINGS THROUGH...YOU MAKE A LOT OF SENSE...AND HOW WOULD WE KNOW WHAT YOU ARE THINKING IF YOU DONT TALK???..❤😊..STAY SAFE ON THE ROAD.
My point exactly YOU ARE NOT ! a trucker or you would know Swift is garbage that where desperate rookie truckers go more accidents etc than any other company they don't care who they hire and will say anything to get drivers.
Stay with Prime inc. Get your 3 years experience then all types of doors will open for you. Keep driving record clean and you will be all set. I'm at Walmart but with Walmart private fleet and I love it. No stress driving and 99% drop and hooks benefits and home 2 days a week. Live is so much better without the worry of truck payments, benefits and no overnight driving is priceless to me right about now.
Walmart feels like you’re driving for the Feds😂 Cameras at every store making sure you do a 360 walk around. Safety man on following drivers fck that I quit.
@@unitedsouthenterprisesllc I mean is part of the job if you don't want to do a 360 you probably never do a pretrip anyways. But hey to each their own.
@@truckercrespo4573 Bro I'm a million miler/Trainer/ Certified TO Teach the Smith System. Have fun slip seating changing trucks 2-3 times a week, laying down on another man's bed lol. Driving them trash azz Pete's with close to a million miles on them. Dude they hire every Holiday season and will starve you until you quit when it gets slow. Somebody quit that's why they hired you lol. They're hiring everywhere so don't believe that driver retiring shyt.
Bro I'm so happy for you. My goals are not your goals so enjoy your time away from home I'm happy making 100k a year with benefits and home 2 days a week. I'm also a trainer and completed a lease and was over the road for 5 years and it's not for me. Yes I made more money elsewhere but I'm happier now without the stress that comes with leasing a truck and everything else. But hey enjoy the road. And if you a trainer you also shared your bed , and some else also drove your truck kind of slip seating so not much different if you think about it.
@@truckercrespo4573 Bro you just got on and won't make 100k it's a lie. You will be on the extra board paying your dues for years that's why I left as I was 50 and didn't want to pay dues for 10 years or more to get my own truck. I'm home every other night from Houston to Russellville, AR and back. No loads that way this week been working local on a $325 a day for 9hrs of work.
Definitely start with prime, you got something good with them.. trust me don't let the money distract you from your goals.. I made that mistake and wasted a year.. you doing good, let prime show you how to run your own truck.. I believe you on the right path..
Don't worry about what someone say to you or about you doYOU get experience get knowledge if the industry and that 💰 young lady from the brother from Virginia stay safe stay bless
Make all your decisions prayerfully...God won't let you down. You'll know exactly when its time to make moves for your business. 🙏🏽 Great video, young lady!! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Can you walk away from a lease contract that easy? Back in the late nineties the company had to let you out or not and could hold you liable. MS Carriers use to do that…
You are an inspiration too me. I will be finishing school October 16 and I am nervous and excited. Thanks for your videos. May God bless you and keep you safe .
Love your genuine personality & how you’re not even influenced easily( if at all). Thank you for showing the world how a person can be loved themselves. Beautiful characteristics
Hello.. Your doing A Great job , out there , Constructive Criticism helps, never allow it to the heart. An do what is good for you, My prayers are with you for safety & you reaching your goals.💐💐💐 👍🏾
One thing ive learned since driving trucks is alot of these companies will lie to you just to get you to come work for them keep that in mind when you get these job opportunities that seem to good to be true alot of the times it is not alwyas the case but alot of the times it is my advice is thug it out with prime get youe experience up then go from there as always stay safe out there slime
Yeah 99 percent of the local companies want you to have OTR experience. Gotta pay some dues before you can get local jobs. It's crazy but thats how it works. Remember this, you'll either sacrifice money for time or time for money.
Keep on doing what your doing and the talk is what makes you you , Interesting, I also follow big rig becka and she also got a person say less talk but the majority like the chat on how’s it going, not a suggestion but a dog does give comic relief and something to bounce stuff off of chat wise, but that’s just me, keep on doing what your doing
Great video, the content that you are conveying to your subscribers could be very beneficial to others that are thinking about getting into the business!!!
If being close to home is important then take it if the money difference ain't too bad. If your truck is your apartment and you want to save money and otr fits you then stay. Lot's of options. The breakup fee to leave prime before your year is done is covered by the bonus you'll get by the new company. After your business expenses are they similar to your net pay from the Walmart account? Of course if your truck is your home it skews the numbers. I value home time over weeks over the road. I just passed by CDL at Prime and already got a job offer for local driving as CDL driver to landfill. I'm gonna do another month of TNT and next home time Im bouncing. I needed Prime for their training and they got me the CDL. Being otr is just another world I simply can't cope in long term. Not only does the local pay more but I'm home every day and in a year I'll finance my truck and trailer to earn even more. Otr doesn't prep you for city driving and I know that there's more than one way to pay your dues as a trucker. Being otr is one way but not the only way and many local drivers never drove one mile otr. I'm a local trucker through and through and Im happy I got offered a local opportunity. I'm greatful to Prime but I earned that CDL despite the shitty inexperienced trainer I got. It was mostly me and my effort and I'm paying for it anyways so Prime ain't losing either way. Always look out for yourself first in trucking.
They are not going to off load you 1st if a beverage truck was there before you, remember if you are hauling frozen food your trailer is a reefer design to keep food frozen, if you sit 10hrs the food is still frozen, recuriters will tell you anything
Dont move yet! If you got it good for the time being then stay, but if you got something paying more and its still consistent... then weigh your options and decide/move.
Trust me, local can be very tiresome. Local will be a lot more of every thing. It's not what it's cracked up to be. Enjoy and get that experience learning with that patience you have.
At the end of the day this your channel can't no one tell u about talking . You have to talk in your video keep grinding hard works definitely pays off
Look, It's good you have a good head on your shoulders. I've been in this biz for 32yrs 18 of which were OTR. Being OTR GETS OLD!!!! If I were you, I would jump on that dedicated run In a heartbeat! There's nothing like being home in your bed. Look Sis, when you're in Montana at a truckstop in the middle of winter and you have to go to the bathroom a 2A.M. and it's -20 degrees outside after a few years that aint fun anymore. Think long and hard about passing on that Swift dedicated you may never get the chance again. As for me, I drive for Southeastern, I didn't know what life was like until I got hired on here. I'm home 3x's a week and every weekend and holiday. the downside is I work nights. So, may God bless you on your travels and your decision-making. Work life balance is crucial!
Also videos that I like seeing is what you gross and what you net after fuel and expenses, especially after the market the way it is a new fuel prices. How are you doing? How are you doing operator, Lease on with a carrier
Stay with prime for 2 yrs then the doors will open up for you you stay for 3 yrs and you can go just about anywhere get that experience in and be safe coming from an old retired flatbedder from prime
If you're making good money (money is not everything), and they are treating you good, and your are completely satisfied, STAY. You actually have no reason to quit. Every time you leave you are burning bridges.
I’ll give you my advice what you should do, finish your lease out, so you won’t pay back any money since you didn’t finish your lease out , and then get a couple years experience with prime then go to an LTL company and run line haul, where you can be home every day all holidays and weekends and they have good benefits and good pay. But normally with those jobs, you have to be driving for at least two years continue doing what you’re doing saying other states and enjoying driving your Peterbilt. Just remember a lot of trucking companies lie to you. It sounds good but then when you get in there, can you fill it out? It’s not how they described it.
Bad advise. A nuke is going to go off next summer, you want to be at one of the top five starting now, cause next summer will be too late. Yesterday I saw a JB yanking a Prime intermodal in Vegas....It's starting already.
Stick out with Prime to me I don’t like driving for owner operator done had my experience with them but it might be different for you but I stick with prime
