AsyncStreams and AsyncSequences were introduced as part of the async/await family of APIs and is often the right thing to reach for when you used to reach for @Published and Combine. In this brief talk you’ll get a feel for how clean and familiar it is to use AsyncStream and how we can bridge from published properties to AsyncSequences and how we can use ordinary properties to fill an AsyncStream. If you aren’t ready to declare iOS 17 as your minimum target, then you aren’t ready for Observable and AsyncStreams might be just what you need.
