I am reviewing the Swift Industries Zeitgeist Pack which I used when completing the GDMBR last year. This pack performed excellently in some of the most challenging bikepacking conditions you will find, and I feel that after nearly 3000 miles of use I am well placed to give my opinion on this product.

I have the sluggish technologies ambience pack. It’s lead lined so not so great for uphill. Great for downhill though. I use it for transporting my owls to their grandmothers ranch.

Sluggish Technologies make some good stuff. Slightly poisonous but good. Your owls didn't live long did they?

Love that pink fox! ❤Obviously, it's imperative to ensure the bag works well. Great review Mat you've sold it to me. Maybe a salesman position would suit you well. The company should be very pleased 😊

I have one on the Carradice rack mounted on my “gravel” bike. I think it makes a “road” bike vastly more practical because for little weight penalty I can make quick trips to the store for a few items. Also frequently store my lock in it. Mounted on the seat it is mostly blocked by your body, so I’m guessing there is very little aero penalty.

Sounds like it works well. It definitely makes sense to have it mounted on the seat. I really like this bag. It's served me well. Cheers 👍

Hi Mat. Your first three reviews were of items that I need, and probably will get those actual versions. I also need a new, large volume handlebar bag for my road touring bike. Is this going to be 4/4 ? This channel is costing me a fortune 😁🤣 Expensive it may be but how many thirty quid eBay copies from SunshineBarBagCo would it outlast, and more importantly, this probably won't fail on you like a cheap copy. Cheers 👍

Ho Tony. You're right about the cheaper eBay bags. This bag is well made, and for every day it serves me on the trail it becomes more reasonably priced. Sorry I'm costing you so much..I'll review something cheaper next time. Cheers.

@@matryderreviews Yes indeed, that's exactly how I look at it, the longer I have it then the cheaper it becomes. Plus, you're getting good quality and a more pleasing experience from day 1 with better kit. I'm selling my least used kidney in advance of your next review. Cheers.

I was going to say something similar! Mat does have good taste in gear. I have a perfectly fine Ortlieb bar bag I use on my road touring bike, but now I want one of these, or the smaller 7.5l version they also do!

Have you decided on a rack to stop it bouncing around? In your review of the GDMBR with Bill and John you mentioned that Bill's rack worked well. Wondering what it was?

Hi. Sorry for the delay. Bill had a Tumbleweed rack which was designed for his bike. I've since bought an Old Man Mountain Divide rack but haven't been out on that bike much recently.
