Red is the one set on the tour that makes me sad just cuz i feel like the deep cuts on the album are so much better than the radio hits. Like i wish we got to see these guys react to holy ground or the title track
And also The Moment I Knew and All Too Well, they're like so freaking good tracks but are often ignored because they were not the mega pop hits the other were.
What's crazy is Eric ans Calvin have listened to probably the 4 most famous songs on this album and there is still soooooo many others I'd want to see them react to.
Finally, someone noticed the cardigan sweater covered walls. I keep waiting for someone to notice the Willow sign in her Mean MV, plus on the MV Begin Again she sits under a willow tree.
"22", "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" and "I Knew You Were Trouble" were co-written by Taylor Swift, Max Martin and Shellback. Max Martin is usually considered the main producer as he is the most successful producer of all time, as a songwriter he is second only to Paul McCartney. ✌️
Help this whole time I thought it was going to be the evermore era. I totally forgot about the setlist change. Wait so for Speak Now, are we only getting one song? 😭
I was wondering if after the whole Eras tour is done if you’ll continue and maybe even get to songs that weren’t on albums, like Safe and Sound from the Hunger Games and Ronan?
You guys should definitely react to the cut songs because you guys will be watching the movie so the guys won't be prepared for it if you guys don't react. Also, the cut songs are really good
My other favourite thing about 'we are never getting back together' is how, after making it the poppiest of pop songs to ever pop she then performed a full on rock version of it at the 1989 tour. Like Taylor in all black leather ripping out the electric guitar solo and rock growl. Which just felt like an even bigger f u. Like, she could easily morph into any genre and kill it which kind of kills the whole 'pop music' isnt real music, pop artists arent real musicians argument. Very Elle Woods to Warner upon getting into Harvard "what like its hard?"
@@amycope7970 ok I was confused for a minute bc that's a big moment in the eras tour and when they said last song in red I was like wait your missing one 😅.
ugh I enjoy these videos so so much. you all are too cute to handle. I wish you would've taken the time to analyze more songs from the albums though 😭 I know you go by the set list it just feels like it's lacking so much cause her albums are such a full experience there so much meat there even in the connections from song to song 😢 especially this album it's very much a concept album, done wonderfully imo Love this channel ❤
Red is one of my favorite albums. The Red Era on tour is made up of only the pop singles and none of her country singles like the songs Red and Begin Again, but it is a nostalgic fun era on tour. My favorite songs from Red (excluding All Too Well) are State of Grace, Begin Again, Red, and Holy Ground. I Bet You Think About Me and Message In a Bottle joined after the vault was released. About the album: -This was a turning point in her career, she was heavily criticized for the album being "eclectic" and "all over the place." -This was her second album to sell $1M+ on it's debut week. -The song 22 was one of the last songs she wrote for the album. She had an amazing and fun summer being single and hanging out with friends that she wanted to write a song which captured that summer in their lives. -We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together was written because a friend of her ex passed by her studio one day, said hello, and mentioned that he heard they were getting back together. After the friend left, Taylor turned to her co-writers and emphatically protested the idea of ever getting back together with her ex. They started writing the song immediately afterwards. -I Knew You Were Trouble was written on a piano and initially Taylor imagined it being a piano ballad, but once she got in the studio she told the producers that the song should sound as chaotic as the emotion felt. Taylor wanted it to be loud and out of control. - Red the album is a big part of how and why she shifted to POP and why for her next album (1989) she decided to make her first complete POP album. Red was nominated for album of the year and did not win. Taylor took that as a sign that she needed to change and focus on writing in the genre that she wanted and not listen to her label (which at the time was forcing her to continue in country.) Great reaction as always!❤ P.S. The next era is Speak Now and I know it's no longer on the set list but I think you all should still react to Long Live. It's a fan favorite, Taylor wrote it for her band and the fans to remember the memories made on the Fearless tour. I think everyone agrees that it should've been kept on the set list 💜
I'm from Brazil and I went to the eras tour last november and when IKYWT started everytime It was goat time I'd Go to my sister's ears and Béééééh, It was so much Fun! Heheh
And girls especially are told during our whole childhood that boys only hurt us because they love us. We are feed Disney movies with beasts who kidnap the girls, keeps her in captivity, until she makes him fall in love with her and he turns back into a prince and they get married 🙄 the movie with a girl giving up everything including her voice for a man she only had seen at that point…. The movie with a girl literally kissing frogs because one of them might be a prince.. 🙄 And then we ask ourselves why girls like bad boys?! We have been taught our whole life’s that we should love them and take care of them and if they hurt us that’s because they love us, only they are so broken/ tortured that they can’t express their love and so they act out instead. And we just need to love them harder. The guy most of the “relationships” songs on RED is about is the same guy as in All too well. Allegedly Taylor and this guy had a really toxic of and on again relationship (not only during the time they where officially dating. And yes, allegedly this guy was seeing other women during this time as well (one of them. Allegedly being the actress from the Spider-Man movies) I think “I know you where trouble” is seen in another light by Taylor today. There was a big age gap in this relationship. On her newest album The Tourtered poets department Taylor has a song called the manuscript. In which she references this relationship and the making of All too well the short film. Just recently Gracie Abrams released “US” which is a collab with Taylor Swift the song references both women’s experience with relationships with a man significantly older then them when they both where very young
I've never disliked Taylor, but I was never a big fan/follower either (I think I just wasn't the target demo at the time). But I'd heard all of these songs before on the radio and enjoyed them when they'd come on. And am loving these Swiftie Saturdays as a way to also learn more about Taylor and her music. Very much enjoying it. Taylor is awesome. And you guys are awesome too. Thanks to the ladies for being awesome Taylor guides as well. :)
the 22 music video is SO 2012 and i love it!! i saw 22 live a couple weeks ago and am 22 so that’s pretty cool, full circle moment cause i made music videos to that song when i was 10 lol
Okay but when we get to the Rep era, can we please have the boys watch the Don’t Blame Me performance from the Rep Tour? I just really need to see them (and the blind wave audience) lose their minds at the vocals 😂
Also on the main album - 22 is track 6, directly after All Too Well. She goes from being miserable on her 21st birthday to being screw it, I’m going to have fun with my friends on my 22nd
I always took I Knew You Were Trouble to be about John Mayer - it just reminds me of Dear John. “You’ll add my name to your long list of traitors who don’t understand, and I’ll look back and regret how I ignored when they said ‘run as fast as you can’” and “all the girls that you’ve run dry have tired lifeless eyes cause you burned them out”. Comparing it to “And the saddest fear comes creeping in, that you never loved me, or her, or anyone, or anything”.
I can’t remember if you said where you’re doing surprise songs but I feel like we gotta do a debut for a little taste. Or maroon and you’re on your own kid which are clearly her go tos at this point lol. Loving Saturdays!
Less than 5% watches every single video, should we just stop everything? They are doing it because they want to and Carmen and Jenn want to catch Calvin up before the concert.
@@JustJake91 ok thanks for the most PR answer ever, all i said was im confused, so let ne rephrase that, less than 0.005%. it make more sense if its was on like a music reaction channel but then again its only taylor swift music so dont take it the wrong way coz all i said was om confused bunch of taylir swift reactions in between a movie and series reactions
@@KowakianMonkey-Lizard it has more views than some other reaction . Also not every thing is for everybody. You don't have to watch this. Its so simple
