Swifts MULTILITH 1250 : 2-in-1 Offset Printing Machine 

La Poderosa Multilith, máquina para hacer muchas impresiones de calidad. Solamente veo que mantiene ese disco grande en la salida en vez de vario pequeños y dentados.

I worked on the same kind of machine, 1987-1994, when it was manufactured by Multigraph. She was a sweet machine then and it appears a newer manufactured machine lives on. She was a wonderful press then and am sure she remains the same today. Thanks for the memories !

This is a clamp system I've never seen before, but I swear the best one was the old slot clamps they had on the real old 1250's. Not only could a plate be mounted in seconds even the clamp on the blanket cylandars were the same, Plus plate stretch was at a minimum, just by the design alone. Just because something is new, doesn't make it better, just because something is old doesn't it a moot point. I first started out as a young Printer in he mid 70's,, slot bar clamps were the norm.

Question: I got a very old offset press given to me but have no idea where to find the plates. I've looked everywhere and can't find positive plates. It's a really old machine AM-1250 from the 50s or 60s I think. I don't know who else to ask :/

Beautiful machine, just can't get past that cotton fiber watering system they had, so used to Kompac or at least bare back. There is no way on Earth, or even in Heaven I would EVER go back to the Stone Age! Drag me there if you can, I'm not staying! I swear, haven't these covers in 30 years! I was surprised they even made them still. If he can deal with that, he's a better Printer than I! No joke, there is a better Printer than I. LOL!

This is nice looking multi style press. I would ditch the molletin for a Kompac immediately, and maybe get rid of the stock sucker feet for a pair of bigfeet, although these dont look as bad as the regular multi ones. Does the delivery area jog the sheets as they get dropped? It looks like a sheet shoot tray on a chain delivery press which is a little different. Having to use a screwdriver to screw and unscrew 8 screws everytime i mounted a plate would get tiresome though lol. Still a nice press

The molleton and hard covered water form are absolete. Those rollers get dirty easy and require frequent changes. The aqua-flow system (called other names according to manufacture) is far superior.

Machine Apne risk mein kharide. Packing slip se sare parts mila le, Kuchh parts missing rahte hai. Dealer baad me koi help nahi karenge. Service bhi jaldi nahi milegi, Training ka to bhagwan hi malik hai

The sad part about this is that this press was the workhorse of the American printing industry and Multilith sold the rights to manufacture it to this company, and we can't even buy it in America! To the best of my knowledge there in no longer one American offset press manufacturer. The presses being sold as AB Dick are actually just Ryobi painted another colour...sad! If this press were available in the U.S. that would be great, but there's probably some sort of restriction in their contract with Multilith.
