Patrick Aryee takes to the seas to swim with an enormous sea creature: the sperm whale.
The sperm whale or cachalot is the largest of the toothed whales and the largest toothed predator. It is the only living member of the genus Physeter and one of three extant species in the sperm whale family, along with the pygmy sperm whale and dwarf sperm whale of the genus Kogia.
From Big Beasts: Last of the Giants Season One Episode Two: Shot across the continents of Australia, Asia, the Americas and Africa, this three-part nature documentary series delves into the Earth's biggest beasts, from five-ton elephant seals to the dignified African lion. Biologist Patrick Aryee embarks on a global mission to explore the biggest beasts and the conservation challenges that face them in an ever-changing world. Full of beautiful natural history photography, illustrated graphics of extinct gigantic beasts and stunning close encounters, this series looks at why size really does matter in the natural world.

@@0xszander0 It is a beautiful sea creature. But that's not the point. he said it in quotation marks, because it does come really close in size with all the folklore regarding sea monsters. It's just the size they are referencing. And the 'true' in the word means it actually exist.
