He's saying everything against what they want him to, I LOVE IT. They always wanna try to lean on that leg kick, or timing of the toe tap, or hands to the ball, blah blah blah. Seems most people even pros talk about hitting without really knowing whats actually going on and into it. Working on this stuff with my 6U daughter for softball she's picking up some of it early, thanks for putting your info out here for us.
Kerry mentions this in the interview but your direction should be towards the opposite middle infielder. Right handed hitters towards the second baseman, lefties towards the SS
I love learning all the different swings, I’m trying my hardest to learn hlp, but it’s tough for me when i don’t have the full understanding, I wish I could do your hitting program but can’t afford it.
@@chadmcshane2182 don't overvthink this basicly get to your backside soon Most kids start there load to late..getvto your backside quicker hit off back leg and rest will fall into place This iscreally nothing radical Slow down Mantle swing ya see
He's trying to show them, they are telling him these older methods and he's just like nah. Really that's how I teach my kids now, get one legged stretch, prove it by taking a few cuts on one leg. I'm nearly 50 and it's amazing how much power you can get just by coiling and being one legged, even with a toe tap.
That’s not the first good hitter they’ve had on in the past 2 years that has been saying this. But now it’s starting to hit Mark DeRosa and his facial expressions show it.
@@TeachermanHitting So then it's really more like "I'm going to swing at pitch release without worrying if I miss the ball right now", more than "I'm purposely going to swing and miss."
@@VicInNocalI think it’s like practicing swinging way too early so that you feel like you are waiting even on fastballs when you are actually trying to hit.
