Why aren't they recognised as one of the best groups of all time such beautiful moving songs performed by fantastic musicians and sung by a world class singer up there with George Michael, Carpenters, Lisa Stansfield. Swingout Sister should be still a household name.
@@marie-clauderecchia4531wow but I’m not sure about that don’t get me wrong I absolutely love swing out sister I have all their cds and Corinne voice is bad ass I love her singing. But Karen carpenters voice was one in 100 million her voice was it well in my opinion both ladies have my heart and I still listen to their music to this day because I love it and I’m old 😂😂
Love was young We saw beyond a sky that had no limits Much higher than the highest star Beyond the furthest planet We thought that we could change the world And everything in it But time ran out of endless hours Gave into doubt, were we just playing an endless game That no one ever wins If I could run away Hide away Forget the way I feel But your memory keeps haunting me Convincing me it's real Now you're not here Now you're not here Love and hate Left up to fate A life we took for granted We couldn't stop our running from the things we always wanted No long goodbyes No tears to cry And nothing to believe in But now you're gone We'll never know a love that's grown Time took away All that it gave to the two of us If I could run away Hide away Forget the way I feel But your memory keeps haunting me Convincing me it's real Now you're not here Now you're not here When our hearts were young and nights were long We'd let the morning sun kiss our eyes open Precious dreams that we had now they are dead and gone The promises we made have all been broken If I could run away Hide away Forget the way I feel But your memory keeps haunting me Convincing me it's real Now you're not here Now you're not here If I could run away Hide away Forget the way I feel But your memory keeps haunting me Convincing me it's real Now you're not here Now you're not here In my arms In my life Lovin' you, is just a memory Now you're not here Now you're not here With me now, in my arms, in my mind, in my life
I was born in 1960 and, I guess like everyone else, discovered SOS with the Breakout single. A lot of so called "fans" abandoned them as that song faded into the past (at least here in America) but I stayed the course, immersing myself in each subsequent release. Their music transports me to a time in my life that I miss terribly. Countless hours literally crying as I listened to Corinne's voice have given me such a feeling of peace and joy. So retro, so wonderful.

Fantastic music. I have followed SOS since their first chart topping hit "Breakout" back in the 80s. The music just gets better and better with age. Sad that this generation of "music" listeners don't hear this kind of music. As for Corinne and Andy, they are timeless, they don't age at all. She is as beautiful now as she was when "Breakout" was filmed. While they don't get the airplay they deserve, their CD's live on and so does SOS for this long time fan. My dream is for Corinne and Andy to find their way to Cincinnati Ohio USA and preform in concert. I know that this video is older, but in a YT video from a year or two ago, they literally have not aged. Their music, like them are timeless.
I think so too. I listen to "Break out" every spring. In the summer I listen to "Am I the same girl" and "Incomplete without you." "Kaleidoscope world" in autumn ☺️
今、ガストで流れていて思わず口ずさんでしまいました。 当時は歌詞の意味も気にせず聴いていたけれど、ヤバい泣きそう🥺 In my arms In my life Lovin' you, is just a memory With me now, in my arms, in my mind, in my life...
man, I had some crazy dreams with this lady back in the day, like walking hand in hand through Paris in a summer afternoon, it was so vivid, I almost swore it happened. Now nostalgia has crushed me
One of the most beautiful songs of this century! Takes us into so memories of our journey through life ! Ours ups and downs ! Still just livid memories of our lost love ones ! Thanks for the post !2020 and beyond!
I used to live in Japan and my girlfriend at the time introdouced them to me, and I'm glad she did. We sang this in Karaoke, on our final date as I was about to leave Japan. Its a beautiful song and Corrine has a lovely voice, a great song! It always reminds me of those precious times we shared.
