Martín Naranjo lol yeah. Sometimes when I’m doing these stunts and I’m just showing them (I’m a girl, so I get lifted), I just feel so awkward and so I just smile since I’m the center of attention
Ye it definitely does but by the time you get to actually performing these or doing them at a higher speed your well practiced and you can trust a great majority of people who do them because you understand how well practiced they SHOULD be. Not everyone is though so you should be careful and mistakes do still happen
Me to my bf: sooo...i've found something to spice up things a little bit My bf, expecting something else entirely: nO *runs towards him while throwing my legs in the air*
Me and my younger sister have been doing acrobatic lifts since she was five and when we found this video we saw loads of new stunts and lifts so thanks 🤗
Just sharing some love and appreciation for this! It must have taken a fair bit of effort to get all these moves out, film and name everything - so thank you! It is, without a doubt, the most comprehensive compilation on the internet. It would definitely be *amazing* to see these in context. I know some are i.e. the Charleston ones, but if you're ever up to filming again, I think the internets/the 300k+ viewers would definitely appreciate it! 🙌
THANK YOU!! Y'all are inspirational for my friend and I. Thanks to this video (and Micheal and Hailey of course) we've become the stars of a musical my dance partner and I are in.
This is so cool! I noticed there's quite a height difference between you two, is it easier to do if that's the case? My husband and I are almost exactly the same height so I'm not sure if some of these would work. (like 'around the world' or any where my face would be close to the floor.) 😁 anyone who knows?
Hi! I'm a swing dancer and generally, unless you trust your partner to know to lift you up a bit higher so that you don't hit the ground, I wouldn't recommend trying Around the World. Most of the other stunts you should be able to do, though! But yes, having a taller partner does come in handy. Enjoy your dancing!
Hey! I know this was quite a while ago, but I'm an acrobatic Rock 'n Roll dancer and I've done around the world with someone who is 4 inches shorter than me (I'm 5'10”). It's all about practice really. :) Maybe try them on a soft floor in a gym, maybe there are gymnastic gyms around you that have a softer floor? The only thing I probably wouldn't recommend if you are taller (I've done it with someone the same height though), are the ones where your legs are wrapped around one of his shoulders and you lean down. We have different names for the lifts so I'm not sure what they call it, but I hope you know what I mean! :)
This video was made a long time ago so im not sure if these 2 even still communicate but i have watchex alot of dance style videos with lots of lift and i have to say this is 1 of the best by far..1st their trained with safety 1st in mind..2nd their moves are very smooth due to lots of practice..3rd they are technical with even the small details making the moves look even better..i use alot of these moves mixed with my dancing and i get alot of complimennts bcuz of it..thanks for the video..would have liked to seen videos with you two dancing..
My one focus is to learn the tornado because just think of how epic you would look if you just start flipping all over the place in the middle of a dance
Katie Tato please don’t ever do this at a social dance, though. People could get seriously hurt. Especially don’t ever do it with a partner you haven’t practiced the same move with. This is a move that should only be reserved for competitions or performances.

I just wish I knew how to develop the strength to be able to do these lifts. Because it seems like a totally different set of muscles than you would use for traditional weight lifting.
