Wow that red island composition with the h'ra and pinnatifida is a show stopper. And yes the Reefer in me is always happy to see Monti Cap's and a vibrant Milka Stylo. This is a beautiful shop.

I set up two nano tanks this year and only used in vitro plants, most of them from Tropica and some from Dennerle. Both aquariums are doing well and I don’t have any algae issues (knock on wood). The plants grow like crazy and I have to trim them very often, like 1 to 2 times each week. One thing I am always nervous about when I see shops selling submersed plants is that there are pretty much always fish in those tanks that might potentially have / spread some disease that I would carry over to my tank at home, making my own fish sick. That is frankly reason #1 for me to use in vitro plants rather than submerged plants. Maybe I am overly cautious here, but I’d rather feel safe than sorry, right? That shop in Lausanne looks just awesome! I would have loved to see more of it, and especially more of the 90 cm tank. Just like you, I do not really care anymore about what other people might think about me. Go figure, I sometimes ride a recumbent bike, other times I take pictures with a large format camera, and sometimes I just set up my plein air easel somewhere and paint, all that probably makes me a weirdo in other people’s opinion - so what.

Hi George, lovely shop, great to see you doing this type of video content. Selling submerged plants - some plants in the tank Vallis and Cabomba obviously don't accept any other conditions (I know you know this but in fairness to the shop) and if they use city tap water and the tank at home is to be city tap water it cuts out the adaption issue, but also, it simply proves that plants can be algae free, healthy and submerged in the presence of fish and still in pots. So many shops in the UK have terrible algae infested 'show tanks', and withered Tropica plants on the shelves not being kept in the special fridges. Two big retail chains in the UK (one a fish specialist) should send their staff to this shop for training!

Wow beautifull shop. I saw a dooa display at 13.45 which has a pogostemon erectus blooming, I ve been trying that for a year now but besides healthy above water growth I can’t get it to flower . Does anyone have some pointers?

Very nice. I have to say I completely disagree with you on the plants. I find that plants that are already adapted to submersed conditions do much better in the home aquarium. - any melting or struggling is already done, and you have a healthy specimen. - it removes some risk.

I think George is weird but I am glad it doesn't bother him :)
