THIS TRIP REPORT IS OF A SWISS AIR FLIGHT I TOOK FROM ZURICH, SWITZERLAND (ZRH) TO NARITA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, TOKYO, JAPAN (NRT). I FLEW FIRST CLASS ON THEIR AIRBUS A340 SERVICE. IN THIS VIDEO I WILL BE SHOWING THE TERMINAL ZURICH AIRPORT, IT’S SWISS FIRST CLASS LOUNGE AND THE FLIGHT EXPERIENCE.

For all those watching this video I'm a swiss cabin crew member and the interior design of the Airbus 340 has been changed like the Boeing 777. Just to let you know :) great video by the way!

Very nice report. I transited Kloten on two trips between the U.S. and Tanzania a few years back. United and SWISS are great partners and ZUR is now my choice as a European transfer stop.

Did you know there is another Swiss First Class lounge near the E gates? That one even has private hotel style bedrooms. I think you went to the one near the A gates. Tip: Once you get to the lounge near the A gates, ask for a ride to the E gates so you can use the lounge there instead. That way you won't have to wait until the last minute before boarding to get your ride over. The Swiss First Class lounge near the A gates is mainly for passengers connecting from an international first class flight to a Schengen flight or for HON members travelling within the Schengen area.

Wow, definitely a cabin to avoid, in case they still have this old design around. Plus, the food looks VERY subpar.

They have changed their cabins now. And to be honest I they had more food to serve but I couldn’t eat as I was full from the lounge food. It wasn’t as good as Lufthansa’s first class but it was still very good

nice video, but boarding at Swiss is disappointing for first class I think as is the cabin and the luncheon which seamed to me a quite chaotic mixture

Was there a choice for lunch? It was a strange assortment of foods (another commenter called it chaotic) but I'd probably try most of it except the sushi. The breakfast looked quite good. Some commenters carped about the seating, but since I can only afford to fly economy I though it looked good! On an 11 hour flight you need some pampering, and I guess you got it here.

Other than the larger seat and seating area, it looked like a throughly Business Class product...hardly worth double the price.

Wonderful video as always..thank you for sharing. They way of getting you on board from the lounge i thought was extremely poor for First Class, compared to how LH or Thai dos it. Its really a pity you did not show the menue card and the wine list.And the menue toally confused me. You started with the sushi and then had the Balik salmon as a main? But this cannot be the real menue sequence on Swiss. The salmon is usually the appetizer, isnt it? And the sushi was a main or an alternative appetizer? And this (hot?) course with vegetables and meat (just a slice of sausage and ham) looked extremely poor again. Wasn´t there a real decent main dish???? Totally disappointing. Would have been more clear with the menue:)))

Nice video! Swiss should really update their FC seats on the A340 though, for 11,000 $ round trip, those are not good seats by any. means Thanks for sharing

Thank you for your positive feedback! The Purser did come to me and apologise for the ageing cabin. She said they are in the process of refurbishing their entire fleet soon like they did with their B777s. Maybe they have already done it! Let’s hope so because as you said this cabin was outdated!

Levon Alyanakian actually from now they refurbished all their a340 which I flew it in business class last summer. It's was awesome 😎

Very good video. I was disappointed with the Swiss FC product at all stages and would not choose it for luxury travel based on this video. It is definitely incomparable to the JAL FC neither to other airlines services even under the pandemic.

To answer your question...check in 3/2/1, concourse A/B and then from the airside center to concourse E by sky train (undergroud actually). My question...when did you shoot the video? It is still the old Swiss First class.

Thanks for the video - it showed me that its not worth to spend that much money for a Swiss First Class ticket. You could get this kind of service traveling United Polaris for far less.

Thanks Arno for pointing out the error. Yes you are right. It is a twin engine A340. It’s not an A330 as I first mentioned. I was almost half asleep when I finished uploading the video so didn’t see the mistake. Thank you for the positive feedback as well. I really appreciate it!
